"A special place."

It was a beautiful home.Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed fabulous breakfasts and the home baking. Maryann and Barry were excellent hosts, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay there again..

What a little gem to have had the pleasure to stay at. The host was very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation includes a lounge area with tv, drink making facilities, fridge and microwave. I really liked the added touch of a small bottle of fresh milk. The bedroom was spacious with a superbly comfortable bed. The bathroom was scrupulously clean with both a shower and bath. I'm fussy about baths usually choosing the shower but as it was so clean I was very comfortable using the bath which was appreciated. In addition the price included a breakfast, that was delicious with the best organic coffee I have had on my travels, also organic tea. The whole experience was a delight and one we won't forget. Definitely recommend staying here. 5 🌟

Continental breakfast was lovely. Hosts were very friendly & Maryanne was informative on local attractions. Room was very comfortable & also had a separate lounge area for exclusive use.

I had a great night at Gumnut House. Maryann was very kind, welcoming, smiling and attentive; I'm delighted to have met her! I slept very well in this bed, the accommodation being very quiet. The whole experience was very satisfactory, from my welcome to breakfast the next morning. I would recommend this place for a stay in Whanganui!

We had a wonderful stay a Gumnut House. We were welcomed by Maryann and Barry into their wonderful home. We had a private lounge with facilities to make our own drinks. We loved sitting on the terrace enjoying the sun going down. The location is a lovely walk along the river to Whanganui and the The Durie Hill Elevator which is definitely worth a visit.
