Pyne Arms

A warm welcome. Enthusiastic staff. Great food. Good beer. Comfortable spotless room

Friendly, down to earth and extremely helpful staff welcomed us to the Pyne Arms. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with little extra touches like home baked cookies. The food served at the Pyne Arms is utterly delicious, so much so, we booked in for dinner on both nights of our stay. We will be back and recommendations have already gone out to family and friends.

Nicely decorated, excellent hot shower, delicious food in the restaurant and the friendliest staff ever.

Room was hot however I would rather be too hot than too cold and we just opened the window.

A wonderful stay! Everything you want from a stay in a country pub. A warm & friendly welcome, cosy environment, a real fire (for a February stay!) beautiful room with some lovely extra touches and wonderful food. Fabulous breakfast and a wonderful atmosphere in the bar - everything was perfect. Keep doing what you're doing - its fabulous! x

Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom with the option to make tea or coffee. We ate dinner in the restaurant and also had breakfast the following morning - I am happy to say our meals were excellent! A shout out too for our waitress of the evening, Amanda, who warmly greeted us when we entered the pub for a pre dinner drink and was very attentive throughout the rest of the evening. The car park was large.

Our arrival - the owner (I think?) simply said "you' re in the Bugford room, this is it" and left (without introducing herself or providing us with any welcome or information about breakfast times etc). A person coughing loudly in the next room disturbed us during the night and early in the morning - this was a surprise as our bathroom was between the rooms. Our room was next to the b&b access way on one side and the road on the other meaning we felt compelled to keep our blinds down to retain our privacy. We had noticed a number of previous reviews mentioned the use of a fridge for drinks and the provision of home made biscuits in the rooms - we had neither. I had asked for twin beds but the beds had been made up as one double bed - not the end of the world but not what I had asked for.
