Very quiet, beautiful stars at night, close to Highclere Castle, friendly hostess!

Very quiet location for a peaceful sleep. We did hear an owl hoot in the evening, very special! The bed is enormous and really very comfortable with good quality duvet and pillows. Large bathroom as well with all facilities. Dogs were super friendly and welcoming as well as their owner. I loved seeing the squirrels run and jump in and out of the walnut tree.

We hadn't seen on beforehand that the breakfast would be continental. And also we didn't know that we had to prepare and eat this in our own room. The 2nd night we hardly had enough butter and strawberry jam. There was orange marmelade still but we both do not like that. There were croissants, but from a package and without being able to heat them, they were not that good. Having said this, as we stayed a 3rd night in another room, that morning, Jenny made us excellent eggs on toast, because she had noticed our disappointment with the continental.

Breakfast was fine. Just simple but good for us.

Everything was remarkable - size of the room, quality of bathroom, furniture and all.settings. The owner Jenny was very friendly and made me feel at home. The breakfast was also great. The fact that this wonderful place is some minor miles away from Hungerford does not at all matter considering how nice and wonderful this stay was. Thank you very much, 100 percent recommendable. Beautiful quiet location and lovely garden. Huge bedroom very tastefully furnished. Large, well equipped bathroom. Spotlessly clean throughout. Warm welcome from great host Jenny. Excellent in room facilities for drinks/breakfast and plenty of food for breakfast.

Narrow roads but this is something wider.

The owner of the property met me at the gate, to let my car in. She was very welcoming & relaxed. The room was spacious, light & airy, with beautiful country views out of the windows. Bathroom was superb, with one of the best showers I have ever used - a nice sized cubicle that contained all the splashing of water so you could relax. There was also a nice big bath if I had wanted to use that instead. Breakfast was continental style. Everything that you could have wanted (& more) was there & of a good quality. I had a big bowl of Muesli & a banana, oh & a couple of yoghurts. There was plenty of other stuff available also. I will definitely stay there again when I am in that area.

I would be being ultra picky to find a negative.
