Great location, 20 mins walk from Monsanto town center. The rooms were comfy and cosy, and beautifully decorated. Fab stay!

The location of Quinta de São Pedro de Vir-a-Corça is magical. The garden with orange trees, a pond, a spring of drinking water, stone sculptures and a beautiful seating area is simply indescribable. The owner, Mrs. Ingrid, is very friendly and will help with everything. The breakfast of homemade products under the trees in the garden is simply delicious. The hike to Monsanto along the old Roman road was also beautiful.

The house where we were accommodated was like a doll's house. For us, who are not very slim, it was a bit small and the solution of the bed placed on a raised wooden floor did not suit us. We also missed a bit of a clothes hanger or a cabinet with shelves.

Short walk (20 min) to Monsanto village, so no parking problems. Delicious breakfast, clean room, comfortable bed and peaceful garden. Ingrid & Thorsten were very friendly and helpful.

The place is amazing and Ingrid was extremely helpful. Breakfast is continental and a communal affair around a large table with the other guests. We walked to Monsanto for an evening meal and returned the following day to visit the castle - a must.

Unbelievable property off the beaten path. We had an amazing experience for several reasons. Firstly, the hosts were kind, funny, approachable and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfasts they prepared were delicious and nutritious. Freshly pressed orange juice and home made bread, what a delight. Secondly, the cabins. Very unique and cozy and very private, in a quaint setting with trees, flowers and fountains. Pillows were very comfortable and the shutters made the room very dark which made for an excellent sleep. Lastly, the grounds. Beautifully kept property. It is a big area with olive, lemon and orange trees. We had access to eat an unlimited amount of oranges which were the juiciest and tastiest we've ever had! The chirping birds and the sound of trickling water made it so serene and calming. Access to the village and ruins was also a plus. The Roman road is right beside the property. All in all, a most amazing place on earth. We highly recommend it.

If you want to spend time exploring the area, or go out for dinner in the evening, you'll need a car. As far as we know, there is no über available. The village, within walking distance, has some eateries, but make sure you check the times these establishment are open for business. .
