È la deliziosa fantasia della casa di campagna inglese, di quelle tante volte lette nei romanzi o invidiate nei film, che diventa realtà. Luminosa, calda, colorata, piena di arte e libri e ceramiche e antichi tappeti, mobili d’antiquariato e splendidi tessuti. Finestre come quadri sul giardino pieno di fiori e sulle verdi colline piene di pecore al pascolo. Bel bagno gigantesco (vasca, doccia, due finestre, anche una poltrona). Alice è un’artista, e una padrona di casa perfetta, dalle squisite colazioni ai consigli per l’esplorazione della splendida zona. Gli ospiti hanno a disposizione un’intera ala della casa, con ingresso, sala da pranzo e un bellissimo salotto.

Lovely welcome from Alice with homemade tea and cake. Beautiful location, comfortable and homely.Wonderful breakfast, perfect host, very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Characterful property and ideal for two couples.

Lovely B&B, set in lovely village, which is a 10 min walk away. Alice went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Catering at short notice for a food allergy she wasn't made aware of. Also provided a home baked cake and tea/coffee every day when we returned to the accommodation, not something you expect at a B&B! Room was very comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Can highly recommend!

Nothing to complain about. Don't expect mod cons, it's a converted outhouse built in the 1700s, that's exactly what you get...it's stunning.

The location was outstanding and the host was very accommodating and friendly. Thanks for the afternoon refreshments. ‘Our’ bedroom was beautiful and well proportioned. All the rooms were characterful with an eclectic mix of furnishings, books and objects

Some of the rooms were cold but our host was very kind in providing extra bedding and turning up the heating, plus lighting the wood burner every evening. We would have liked an en-suite bathroom

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our host, Alice greeted us warmly showed us to our room and invited us to take tea and cake on the lawn which had a stunning view across the National Park. Our room also took in the same view. It had an extremely comfortable bed giving us both restful nights sleep. Our bathroom was very spacious with a lovely deep bath and standalone shower with immediate hot water. The accommodation also had lounge and dining area for our sole use. Breakfast had plenty of choice including cereals fruit and yoghurt in addition to a cooked breakfast. All in all giving us a most relaxing and peaceful holiday.

There was nothing we didn't like.
