Shearwater Country House Accommodation

Everything about shearwater house is wonderful, our host Adela was so friendly and helpful. Every detail in the lovely rooms, in the house and on our breakfast table was so well designed, and breakfast tastes great.

Had a lovely stay! The breakfast was beautifully presented, and the host was incredibly kind, always quick to respond and flexible with requests. The room offered an amazing view, the bed was super comfy, and we felt very welcome throughout my visit.

Breakfast was delicious. I was a little apprehensive of the thought of an 'uncooked breakfast'. I was absolutely thrilled with the variety of fruits, cheese, youghurt, ham, salmon mousse, breads etc when they arrived. It was a delicious and filling breakfast that kept us going half the day! The cleanliness and sense of care for guests was second to none. Adela could not have been more welcoming and kind...even to the point of cleaning my husband's running shoes, that he had left outside in the garden. Superb experience.

Adela the proprietor was rude and arrogant. She was unhelpful and told us to go elsewhere. We are in our 70s, had come all the way from Australia and have not come across someone so disrespectful. I don't know where these so called good reviews come from she certainly wasn't like that. Six days after we couldn't stay at her accommodation she debited our account.

What a fabulous place to stay! I definitely recommend Shearwater Country House!!! the location is beautiful, the rooms spotless clean and comfortable, delicious breakfast and mostly, an amazing host, Adela is a real sunshine!

The breakfast selection was great, we both had Irish breakfasts, cooked to perfection. Also lovely fresh fruit pot. Really delightful hostess in Adela.

We had no issues, everything was fabulous.

This is truly a hidden gem. Adela has been a host for 30 years and you can tell she's very professional and the hospitality level is just out of this world. The room was exactly like in the pictures, the place was very well-maintained, clean and luxurious. The views from the room were great. And the breakfast is like a high tea experience, tasty and served so nicely you feel like you're in a 5-star hotel. I would highly recommend it!
