Shearwater Country House Accommodation

Shearwater Country House is an ideal place to stay for a relaxing few days. Adela was very welcoming and helpful. The accomodation was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast is the best I've ever tasted and the presentation excellent. The view from the patio is breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

From the moment Adela welcomed us our party were treated to a fantastic stay at Shearwater. The location is outstanding and the accommodation is excellent. Don't be fooled by a mere 'Continental breakfast' Adela treated us to an amazing spread of fresh fruit, muesli, yoghurt, as well as fresh bread and pastries. She also took the time to source freshly baked gluten free bread from a local bakery, which my wife pronounced as the best GF bread she had ever tasted. Adela is an exceedingly conscentious host, who always made sure our stay was fantastic. She helped with organising a taxi, suggested an amazing whale watching trip and even served us G&T's in the brilliant sunshine on the veranda after a long day travelling! This is a little gem and I selfishly don't want it to get any more popular than it is as my wife and I hope to return again soon!

We stayed for our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for better!!! Everything about Shearwater is outstanding, the view, the room, the breakfast and most importantly, Adela herself ❤️❤️ You need to go and visit Shearwater to feel how serene and peaceful it is, we even got to see a pod of Dolphins while we were sitting on the patio!!! If we could give it 20 stars out of ten we would. Adela is so warm and welcoming, not enough lovely words to describe her 🫶 Can't wait to go back. Linda and Steve

Nothing, can't fault it

Adelea was an exellent host. We were very late arriving and very early leaving when our visit ended. Nothing was too much for Adelea. Loved our stay. Would most certainly recommend and stay again. Amazing breakfast too.

All positve nothing to dislike.

Highly recommend Shearwater, Views are stunning. My suite was perfect and I had sea views from 4 different windows. All I could hear was the seagulls and the sea. The whole place was super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough for 2 people never mind one person. Adele was very friendly and helpful. I had a whale watching trip prebooked but they cancelled the day before, I was pretty disappointed but Adela rang a guy and within 30 mins i was on an excellent whale watching trip. An 11 out of 10 for the whole experience. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if I was in West Cork again.

Nothing the stay could not be improved on

Everything about shearwater house is wonderful, our host Adela was so friendly and helpful. Every detail in the lovely rooms, in the house and on our breakfast table was so well designed, and breakfast tastes great.

Had a lovely stay! The breakfast was beautifully presented, and the host was incredibly kind, always quick to respond and flexible with requests. The room offered an amazing view, the bed was super comfy, and we felt very welcome throughout my visit.
