The Horseshoe Inn

It’s authenticity. A quiet location with a well presented room that was comfortable and clean. Felt very serene with slight noise from the pub below. Not enough to be disturbed. Tea and coffee facilities with biscuits. Breakfast options were left in a small fridge in the room ( yogurt and fruit juice) along with wrapped croissants, pain au chocolat and fresh fruit. Had a restful night and loved the ambiance of the property although we arrived too late to eat there.

Helpful staff. Lovely walking through the town. Good eating options. The room is above a pub but quiet the night we were there. People were very friendly

Absolutely nothing. It was a lovely spot to spend a few days walking about

We were given two room keys instead of a room key and a key for the back door (to be used if getting back to the hotel after it closed). This meant we were locked out (just after midnight). We tried ringing the property but nobody picked up. We messaged and no one responded. We eventually knocked on the door to the pub cottage and were let in. We received no apology from the staff. We were preparing to spend the night sleeping in the car.

Room was clean and cosy. Food amazing in the restaurant downstairs and the lady who runs it is very kind!

NO BREAKFAST INCLUDED! No obvious area to check in. We entered into a very busy and cramped pub with all of our luggage, trying to be noticed or work out who to approach. The guy behind the bar eventually ‘checked us in’, taking us around the back and up to our room.

Great location, recently renovated room all very clean. Breakfast bag a bit mean and unimaginative. No staff around in the morning so had to work out how to switch on lights in bar. Don’t like dealing with Booking.com - too many emails - would prefer to deal directly with pub. We booked a table and ate at the pub - food/drink/atmosphere/staff great. Overall positive experience.

The food was very good. Staff friendly. Room was a good size with a comfortable bed. We would stay again.

It was a bit noisy but no more than expected above a pub on a Saturday night and did quieten down at a fair hour.

Pub downstairs - good vibe

Very noisy neighbors watching TV and tbvh the breakfast was pretty poor. Those 2 processed stodgy croissants and the orange juice… Anyhow that was rather a disappointment
