A really friendly house and were really made to feel at home

If Eskom did not have load shedding in the evenings if would have been much easier

The hostess was very nice and helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. The meal there was exceptional. Due to the load shedding our kind hostess supplied hot water in flasks so we could have tea or coffee.

Unfortunately the policy of Load Shedding spoilt what could have been perfect. This is no reflection on our very kind hostess.

This lady definitely knows how to run a B&B! The room was beautifully appointed and it actually looked as though an interior designer had had a hand in it! Everything we could have wanted was there. The Continental Breakfast was delicious and all set out for us to eat in our room. There was a tablecloth and linen napkins and everything had been done so thoughtfully. Breakfast consisted of fruit and yoghurt, the most delicious homemade pate and homemade bread, followed by a croissant and homemade plum jam. If there had been any for sale, I would most certainly have bought a couple of jars! Barrydale apparently has only one decent restaurant, and a booking was made on our behalf. Food excellent.

The secure parking was a bit difficult to manoeuvre out of!

Very nice guest house with great location in Barrydale, and what makes this standout is the owner who is extraordinary service minded and also very friendly.

Nothing major at all, but good to be aware that guests are supplied with a simpler breakfast to eat in your private space, your terrace or in the shared garden.

The location was great with good suggestion of where to eat. there was a pool we used to cool down at the temperature had reached 35Deg Celsius. The Host made us feel welcome and the property was tastefully decorated. The location is a small town and you feel safe walking in the streets

Accommodation with lots of character. Very friendly and helpful owner with interesting background. Great location! Beautiful garden.
