"More than what we expected"

Friendliness off the hostess. Her advice and recommendation off things to do was good. She helped when we had a problem with our vehicle. We stayed in the upstairs room - what an ambiance!

We liked Nicola and her friendly attitude. You have a feeling like she is your old friend or a family member. She did everything to make our stay comfortable and for that we are very greatful. Thank you, Nicola! Nicola also made a dinner reservation for us at Mez Karoo Kitchen restaurant that was amazing, both food and staff at the restaurant. The other option is the Art Karoo hotel where you can have a dinner, or just a drink what we did and if you like paintings your can see them on the walls or buy them. All in all, Barrydale is a very nice town and I am glad that we stayed for a night in this town when doing the Route 62 after the Garden Route. The cherry on top was of course Nicole and her house that you cannot miss :)

"Great stay"

Nicola is a terific host with a great sense of humor The breakfast was delicious and original. Nicola 's advise to have dinner at Mez was perfect! It was great food. We loved the house and the landlady 🙂

The bed was 20cm to short for my tall partner 😂. But the width compensated 😉

"Comfortable but lousy breakfast"

Cramped veranda Room was a bit dark

The breakfast was very basic stale croutons and fruit and was not on a par offered by other b&b

Such a cosy, warm and well decorated suite with the most comfortable bed and excellent bed linen. Our Continental breakfast included home made yogurt and jam, croissants etc all wonderfully presented in our kitchen. Nicola a wonderful host, thank you Nicola.

"Very enjoyable last night of a 12 day road trip."

Really enjoyed meeting and chatting with the host, Nicola. She also reserved a table at the local hotel without us requesting this. We enjoyed a wonderful meal as a result.

We loved our comfortable room facing the peaceful garden. The owner was welcoming, and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed. She even recommended a restaurant for dinner, and made a reservation on our behalf
