"Great location for walking"

Great location in a lovely village. Great bakery and other places to eat.

Didn’t seem anyone around if needed. Rooms a bit outdated and no breakfast option.

"Convenient and comfortable."

Clean room with great bed. Lovely hot shower. Good views. Convenient location for everything. We initially thought the room might be too small but it was perfect. Good to have a little kettle to make tea in the morning and easy to walk to cafe for breakfast. If you wanted to you could eat your own food in the guest lounge whilst perusing the walking guides. And then you can go off and out and there are great walks direct from Castleton so no need to drive anywhere when you’re there. If the bar downstairs isn’t to your taste there are many many other pubs in the village - we enjoyed the football!
