Excellent food as we chose to dine the evening we arrived. Chocolate mouse was the best I'd ever had. Breakfast also was superb. excellent room and the owner was so friendly

Stayed a few times now, nice clean rooms , comfy beds, friendly staff and a lovely hot breakfast , what more do you need 😋

We had a lovely stay breakfast was very tasty.i left my phone so rung hotel and they found it for me, I have family in the area they collected it for me.

The hotel was charming and the staff were very welcoming. The dining area and bar were nicely decorated, with good drinks.

The room needed a lot of maintenance. The mattress had a big dip in it on one side, which was extremely uncomfortable and I ended up sleeping on the floor. The shower cubicle wasn’t watertight, so we had to mop up a lot of water. The over sink light didn’t work, and the bathroom door didn’t lock. The room looked out over the main road, and had no net curtain for privacy, so we had to keep the heavy curtains closed during the day. The door lock mechanism was loud (metal keyring also added noise) and I had to lock my partner in the room (with no way out) when I went for breakfast. We weren’t asked how our stay was when we left, so hopefully the issues I’ve identified can be resolved with maintenance quickly.

I arrived late at they were very accomodating. Also upon learning I'd be leaving before breakfast they prepared me a packed lunch to take which was very kind.

We recently booked a two night stay. On arrival we were promptly asked to present our Debit Card for payment in full before we were even shown the room.Had we seen the room before payment we would certainly not have stayed. The carpets throughout were well worn and soiled. The decor in the bedroom left alot to be desired i.e.picture hooks with no pictures on display. The curtain linings had become detached from the curtains but the most concerning factor was the mattress which was totally collapsed on one side and not much better on the other side. On pulling back the sheet we found it to be very soiled and felt very unclean. Hence a sleepness night for both of us. We couldn't face another night. We asked for a refund for the second night but were refused.
