Die Gastgeberinnen waren super herzlich und aufmerksam, sodass wir uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen und aufgehoben gefühlt haben. Die Atmosphäre im gesamten Haus war familiär und warm. Der Ort selbst ist wunderbar ruhig und idyllisch, perfekt für eine kurze Entspannung. Besonders dankbar sind wir für die wertvollen Tipps der Gastgeberin für unseren Aufenthalt in Christchurch.

The house is gorgeous, the people are very friendly and Mary is an excellent cook. I had a wonderful time whilst I was staying there.

The Waikonini Homestead is a magical place. A beautiful country home in a stunning location, full of antique furnishings and with a garden filled with flowers. I was greeted by a gaggle of geese, ducks and hens when I arrived, along with two dogs and cats. Mary is a fantastic host and so knowledgeable about the area, happy to recommend day trips locally. The bed was very comfortable and the shared bathroom clean. I would definitely recommend Waikonini for a lovely stay in the New Zealand countryside.
