Getting there alive in unsuitable roads for motorbikes

No electricity, no lights, daylight through the many hopes in the ceiling and doors, damp throughout, dog fences literally covering the entire lawn. A complete disaster

Superb heritage property set in a beautiful location

House was very dark, rooms were shut off and it was cold. No communal areas - if there were, I wasn’t shown them or invited to use them. No tea or coffee making facilities available either in my room or made available in the kitchen. Breakfast was basic ( wheetabix, 2 slices of toast with margarine and marmalade) Dogs urinated and defecated in the house.

The host nit nice, the bed sheet had smell, the summer house has no curtains and there is a tree beating the roof when its windy so it makes a lot of noise

Breakfast involved fresh food with plenty of choice. The garden was well kept. The Summer House used by one member of our group was in a secluded spot at the bottom of the garden.

Pity the dog was barking at wildlife late at night.

Das Zimmer war sehr ruhig, da das Haus sehr weit abgelegen ist. Außerdem waren wir die einzigen Bewohner an unseren beiden Tagen. Die Atmosphäre im Wintergarten war sehr angenehm, insbesondere, da wir alleine waren. Dies war auch der Grund, warum wir spontan ein größeres Zimmer bekommen haben.

Das Haus ist sehr weit von der Hauptstraße abgelegen, unser Navi hat uns zunächst in die falsche Straße geführt. Wenn man es im Dunkeln erreicht macht es einen düsteren Eindruck. Wir wurden gefragt, ob sie uns Abendessen kochen soll, über den Preis wurden wir erst im Nachgang aufgeklärt, man hätte auch den Eindruck gewinnen können, man würde eingeladen.

Mary was lovely. We arrived around 10:00 pm after traveling all day. She made us a dinner from eggs from her own chickens.

Water pressure was low, so no showers. I gave myself a sponge bath (which is second best).

We had a warm welcome from Mary and her 2 dogs when we arrived on a cold night. The place is beautiful, the historical homestead and the garden. Mary was very friendly and we could easily discuss together, feeling "at home". For us, a travel in space and time in Peeled Forest village.

Unfortunately, the evening was particularly cold and it has been difficult for us to warm up. But out of the control of the owner.

Wonderful surroundings quiet no noise from the road. Marry was an excellent host.
