Lynn is wonderful and full of great advice for touring the area

Charming small cottage near historical ruins. Lynn was most helpful with recommendations, etc. Home cooked continental breakfast was delicious.

Lynn is a lovely, sweet host. She found me an adaptor when mine didn't work. She had a copy of In the Footsteps of Kings. I could find all sorts of walks.

I loved it all. Be aware that the stay is in the proverbial middle of nowhere. If you enjoy quiet, walking, sheep baaing, it is great. The tiny town of Kilmartin has a hotel where you can get a meal. Otherwise, you have to drive to Crinan for a couple places to eat. I bought some groceries in Tarbet, which was a picturesque seaside town.

The location with a view of large, Neolithic standing stones in the field across the way. Lynn was quite helpful with maps and books on area sites, and sugested hidden gems such as Dunadd (site where ancient Del Riad kings were crowned) and the Crinan Canal. There was a Martin family and birds that entertained at breakfast.

Beds were not as soft as we like.

Lynn (the hostess) was lovely - friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Room was large and comfortable. Great location.

A bit of traffic noise that cannot be helped, given the location. A fan would help to disguise that.

Staying at Dunchraigaig House was completely and awesomely wonderful. Absolutely outstanding breakfast and a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful base for geologists and naturalists. Good pub at Kilmartin, about 1 mile away.
