Intrepid Bed & Breakfast

It is good

We had booked Intrepid Bed & Breakfast for 1st January 2025. On reaching the destination, the property owner did not respond. We tried to reach the property through the mentioned contact number, but there was no response, and we even tried to knock on the door multiple times. We had been trying to reach the property owner since the afternoon to ask about the check-in process, but the calls were diverted to voice calls. We were left standard on a new year when all the properties were in high demand and costly, and we had nowhere to go in the middle of the night. I made a huge mistake by not checking the Google reviews before booking this property, as I am not the first person to experience this from this property owner. I request a full refund as the property owner was not responsive and as they had left us standard on New Year's night in an unknown city. This is the third time I have contacted customer support but there has been no response.

The owner Glen, he was friendly and helpful.

3 times I contacted Glen by phone and not 1 reply from him. Drove up a narrow driveway and at the backdoor which appears to be the entry, there was about 4 kids bikes plus stuff so we backed out and got other accomodations.

It’s cheap. Not far from cbd.

This is a house and there is no lock on the door.

Stayed with Glen in separate areas of the B&B. Cook your own breakfast was given I was given ample space, from bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and dining area.

NO CONCERNS: Cook your own breakfast (bb) Windows and back door left open (night and day) for the cat. No air-conditioning in the room, from dining area, the window fell off the ledge. Intrepid & booking.com.. i should be reimbursed for this accommodation.

This is a scam and not a real B&B. I felt unsafe, and the owner said that our room was not booked because "booking.com wasn't working". I did not stay for the night because I feared for my safety.

The host is nonintrusive, helpful and very sharing oh his space. This offering won't meet everyone's expectations, but it exceeded mine for the price point. I would happily stay again in future.

No keys given for door to bedroom or house. Felt unsafe. Bed and breakfast a bit misleading as it's just a flat with a bedroom being rented out.

Washing machine available, shower was ok. Bus stop across the road. Host is friendly and helpful and means well but told us he dismissed his cleaner a while back and this is obvious by the state of the place. Even had to clean the TV so we could see it.

TV didn't work. When we checked in we were told we had a private bathroom because "ladies like that" but it was also the common laundry so not really private. A friend of the host turned up by 8am each day making a lot of noise in the kitchen and prepared a raw fish dish that was left uncovered the fridge all day. The smell went through our food. Freezer was so full of ice it wouldn't close so could not be used
