We loved our stay at Buittle Castle. It was really special, unique, and memorable. Tobias (the host) was very responsive and helpful. The experience of dinner in the Great Hall was superb - atmospheric, romantic and delicious food. The setting was serene, quiet and offered us a fabulous and restorative break. We loved the aesthetic and feel of the room, and felt the lack of TV was a good choice. My partner enjoyed the hot tub and I enjoyed a cup of tea in the gardens.

Nothing really. I'd like a bit more fruit with breakfast, but that is personal taste and I felt like the addition of breakfast into the room rate was good value and welcome regardless.

"Beautiful peaceful recharge steeped in history"

We loved how peaceful it was, our room was wonderful and we loved how we could rest and recharge with nothing digital in sight.. The dinner was incredible served in the main hall, the breakfasts were delicious, all locally sourced, especially the porridge.

We could not say a bad word about the place,it was an amazing stay and we will be back! There is just a preference with breakfast that it would be lovely to have something that's a bit more nutritious, like mushrooms or tomatoes or beans as an option.

Just so extraordinary and different. Even the kettle had a mind of its own. Just gorgeous! Best porridge ever, served in the Great Hall.

Possibly a better mattress but that's personal preference. Brown bread/croissant and more fruit choice at breakfast would have been nice.
