"Exceptional"

Beautiful old restored home. I stayed in the upstairs Gardener room after section hiking 2 weeks on the AT. The location is perfect. You can walk right off the trail into the property. Bed was very comfortable and Scott and Lisa were fabulous hosts. They make a delicious breakfast!! I was also able to park my truck on their property while hiking, giving me peace of mind.

"Great place for visiting Shenandoah Park, local caverns, meeting interesting people and relaxing."

Everything. Scott and Lisa were wonderful hosts, full of information about local sights and restaurants. Lots of hikers and nature lovers come through their door, making a stay there a stimulating experience.

We had bad luck with the weather, but that can't be blamed on the property.

Scott and Lisa were wonderful hosts and we know why the B&B has such a wonderful reputation. Breakfasts were delicious with fresh jams and juices/cider. The room was very clean and comfortable. Most of all, they are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our time together and getting to know each other! We would love to visit again! ❤️ the other Scott and Lisa

Scott and Lisa are truly remarkable hosts! They are genuinely invested in their guests and trying to accommodate whatever they may need. Little inside tip, Lisa’s French toast and Scott’s jams are not to be missed!!! We will definitely be back!!

The hosts were wonderfully friendly and personal, giving us a nice tour of the facility and it was very warm and friendly to have them tell us of the history of the home. Other guests we met were also friendly and fun to converse with.

"A real BnB experience with wonderful hosts."

Lisa and Scott are amazing hosts, and this was the warmest BnB experience I can remember. They were very accommodating, taking care of everything that might be an issue for us (like curtains which let a lot of light in, which they replaced), and more. The breakfast was amazing, and although deciding on your preferences the evening before and sharing a communal table with other guests at first felt a bit awkward, in the end it contributed to the BnB atmosphere, with hikers sharing interesting stories from their Appalachian Trail adventures.

The property is close to a busy highway. It's elevated, though, with storm windows keeping the noise out, and if you sit at the back porch the noise of cars is dampened, and it's very pleasant.
