Excellent Breakfast

A lovely peaceful location with beautiful views from the bedroom and outside. A nice welcome when I arrived and it was a relaxed atmosphere. Lovely cosy room with nice view of the mountains. Very quiet and peaceful apart from the sheep now and again.

The bathroom was not on suite but I had a private bathroom not far from my room though luckily at this time, I was the only one staying there. A little disappointed with the breakfast, maybe more choice i.e continental, yoghurts fruit as not everyone likes cereal. The vegetarian cooked breakfast was ok, though the mushrooms were very overcooked and another sausage or vegetarian bacon would have been nice. Also I prefer individual jams rather than just one marmalade pot as it was quite empty. I am not keen on one big table to cater for guests as would have felt uncomfortable if people I didn't know were sitting round the same table, luckily I was the only guest that morning. If I was being picky, tissues in the room and maybe complementary biscuits would have been nice and also milks in the room not downstairs.

Plas Esgair is magnificent, to say the least. Every detail tells a story. We were absolutely gutted that we booked only one night and had to leave. This place deserves a longer stay, long strolls around property, long evenings with crackling fireplace and long look around. Every room is unique, comfortable. Hosts are absolutely AMAZING. Dinner was delicious, wine was a vibe and breakfast was great! If old artwork, antiques, candles and warm welcome is your thing - we cannot recommend this place enough. We even got some route suggestions for our further plans, took them and gasped as we drove through the most beautiful roads of Wales! 🤍 THANK you, Martin!🤍

Plas Esgair is a hotel that has loads of character and the hosts are lovely. Communication before we went was great and the dietary requirements my husband needed were taken seriously and I know they went the extra mile to include items not usually on the menu. Our room was stunning and a reasonable price for such luxury. I loved the artwork around the place and the absence of light pollution gave for stunning views of the night sky. All in all we had a wonderful weekend and will definitely go back!

The whole stay at Plas Esgair was brilliant, house/room, food location and of course the owners,Coun where great. Would we recommend it and stay again. A BIG YES.

Grand house in a very rural location. Owners very welcoming and flexible. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Bed was immaculately clean and crisp. Great stopover point for long trip home from North Wales.

Veranda and space at the front of the house needed some TLC. Having bathroom across the landing was fine but some of the artwork on the walls was slightly unsettling at night!

Fantastic place, very unusual and historic Building. It's off the beaten track. Very pieceful. Lovely Breakfast included in the Price. Evening home cooked is available. Excellent welcome from the Host owners. Liked everything!

Nothing to dislike

Beautiful property and location, so peaceful and quiet, lovely to spend time in such an historic house. Hosts were knowledgeable and friendly and provided a wonderful freshly cooked breakfast and even had some gluten free toast for my partner.

The property is as described, so nothing to complain about.
