We stayed at Uplands Garden in May 2024 and had the most amazing time. Helen and Simon were the perfect hosts. The property is beautifully kept, the garden offers amazing views and the breakfast was so delicious. We would highly recommend staying at Uplands Garden. A perfect spot for a break.

There are so many wonderful things about Uplands, I don’t know where to start! We had the most fantastic spontaneous weekend here and couldn’t believe our luck with the bnb. We had a cooked breakfast every morning, fresh orange juice, fruit/yoghurt/muesli etc as well as a cooked English breakfast. It was so delicious, genuinely one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. Everything was given in plentiful supply, both Helen and Simon were happy to provide anything! Helen and Simon were fantastic hosts, they gave brilliant recommendations for food, pubs, walks etc. They had two incredibly cute dogs which were so friendly, we said we were ok with dogs so were happy to let them play in the garden etc! Was a great addition. The room was perfect, brilliant powerful shower, fresh clean linen, comfy bed. The view was amazing, we were so lucky! We often sat reading on the balcony overlooking the garden, which was so beautiful and peaceful. We would recommend walking the golden cap and having lunch at the Anchor inn. Thank you so much both for our fantastic stay.

The peaceful location, the cleanliness, the underfloor heating in the bathroom. The floor to ceiling windows/doors overlooking the garden which meant that I could spend time alone but not feel shut away. Helen and Simon’s friendly hospitality. The slice of just baked cake brought to me by Helen when she spotted me sitting in the garden! I couldn’t have asked for anywhere better.

Really nice place to stay, secluded spot for some peace and quiet. Away from roads with a good sunset view. Hosts Helen and Simon were really helpful and accommodating. Fantastic breakfasts, clean and modern room and balcony space to chill. Good spot as a base to access local towns and beaches if you're driving.
