Stunning and quiet location. Nicely decorated room. Friendly and hospitable host.

Room not as clean as expected (cobwebs, dust). Bathroom needs attention (mirror and shower in bad state, not possible to dry towels or hair, no loo brush). Breakfast basic and not generous; options surprisingly limited (no juice, fruit or veg). Overall disappointing in light of expectations raised by rave reviews on B.com.

"Perfect little castle stay in the country!"

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cute, historic castle in the country. The owner of the castle/property was wonderful and showed some of the restoration they have performed while we were there. Our breakfast was served in our room by the host which was very nice. We loved our stay here!

No matter how grand an environment it is the attention to detail on even small things that move an experience from good to great. The preparation, the thinking and the execution by the small team made this stay great. The room was finished with charm and exceptional attention to detail in an environment giving a first impression of a rustic spot.
