The Thikana Heritage

After careful considerations and a few references we booked our stay at Thikana Heritage for our Jodhpur trip. We had a few initial apprehensions, but going by the other reviews, we were expecting a pleasant stay. Since the cabs cannot reach the hotel, one has to either walk or use a rickshaw. Their trusted rickshaw driver picked us at the famous clock tower with a very warm welcome. The ride to the Hotel was an experience as it is situated in the old city of Jodhpur where history, tradition and architecture are at it’s best. A stone’s throw away from anything you want to see and visit in Jodhpur, Thikana Heritage has the best access to the iconic Mehrangarh fort, the blue city, the popular sweet shops which are all in and around the stay. The assigned room was incredible, different and one of it’s kind. The hospitality, knowledge and guidance of the hosts Vipin Lunker and Manju will make you feel at home and the stay at Jodhpur complete. A special mention to the food that was served, truly authentic and sumptuously delicious. Kudos to the team and hosts of Thikana Heritage. Thank you for an amazing stay.

I absolutely loved my stay at Thikana Heritage. The Heritage building is beautiful and super unique compared to other places that I’ve stayed in India. The couple running the hotel were so lovely and I ate home cooked meals every night that were delicious. The location is in the heart of the old city within a 5 min walk to the fort and a 10 min walk to the clock tower. I typically don’t do reviews but I can’t recommend this place enough!!

The haveli was extremely beautiful and the hosts were so helpful and kind.They answered all our questions patiently,gave us a lot of information about the city and where to find delicious local delicacies too.

The travel to the stay needs to be done in a tuk-tuk through narrow lanes and is a little tiresome with all the luggage but this is not on the owners, it's pretty common throughout the city but it was just something that I didn't like.

We loved every bit of our stay. The hotel was clean, we had everything we needed in a beautiful family house. But most of all our hosts were welcoming, helpfull, smiling and caring. You will find the house after going through tiny roads, away from the noise of the streets, go there eyes closed, it's perfect.

Very courteous owners of the property. Takes care of the guests very nicely. Well maintained property. Very helpful and supportive to the guests. They made our short stay a memorable one.

What a beautiful place, sensitively restored. Our room was palatial. Breakfast was awesome and done to our requests. The owners are lovely and justifiably proud of the Haveli. Don't get me started on the bakelite switches, awesome! Would definitely choose this again.

From our check-in to check-out, our stay was wonderful. Manju & Vipin, the owners, are wonderful hosts and took great care of us as if we were their family. We had room #7 with a king bed and a queen bed on the mezzanine. The room was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids). The decor of the heritage hotel and the rooms gives you a unique experience as if you go back 300 years when the building was built. The room has good AC, comfortable beds with a modern bathroom. The hotel is very well situated in the blue city, 2 minutes from the fortress and a 10 min walk to the step well and clock tower. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Authentic,beatiful ,comfortable and clean place. Arranged smooth pick up from the train station. Breakfast on the roof with a nice vibe...

This Place is simple amazing. How often does one have the Chance to stay in a 350 year old haveli in the middle of the blue city at the foot of the fort. The interior was lovely and classy and the beautiful decorated bedroom invites for a good night of sleep. The only modern thing is the well equipped bathroom. The view from the rooftop terrace is breathtaking with the fort on one side and the city at the other side. Location is perfect, the clock tower only a 10 minute walk away. The best however were the warm and welcoming hosts.
