The Thikana Heritage

Hosts are good and nice

It was too much expensive. not value for money. basic amenities were not there .like-wifi, tv were not working. no kettle, tea amenities. water was given just one day. they said it allowed only once which could not be done.

The Thikana Heritage couldn't be a better choice of stay in Jodhpur. Location wise, it's in the heart of the old Blue city, right at the foothills of Mehrangarh Fort. Rooms are extremely clean and cozy. Beds are comfortable. The room keeper is an extremely nice and knowledgeable person who will help you with any sightseeing questions. Overall, 10/10 and I really couldn't emphasize enough how amazing my experience has been.

We liked staying in large villa with a lot of history and atmosphere. The staff took great effort to provide us with everything we wanted. Our room was small, but clean.

The accommodation is located within the Blue City of Jodhpur with it very narrow streets and intense liveliness. This can be bit intimidating at first, but both the staff as the inhabitants of the Blue City soon gave us a more comfortable feeling.

Amazing staff. And the haveli is marvelous! At the heart of the blue part of Jodhpur, in a quiet street far from the honking.

Manju and Vipin are very good hosts, good English, good local knowledge, Manju is an excellent cook who can explain everything to do with food. Vipin knows the history and politics of the area. Aiadan the housekeeper was very friendly and energetic. The location is just under the huge rocky outcrop which holds the fort so great views of the fort and the blue city from the rooftop, and a short walk up many steps to the fort. The Haveli is beautiful and hitoric. the rooms are beautifully decorated, and I didn't need air conditioning even in the extreme heat. A few barking dogs, but we felt it was a very safe neighbourhood.

The Thikana Haveli is located at the end of long maze of alleyways inaccessible to cars or rickshaws, so we definitely needed google maps to find our way home, especially in the dark. The haveli is quite a walk from the closest restaurants so eating out is a bit difficult, but Manju was on deck most nights, and Aiadan is also a good cook. Order your beer in advance so it's cold and ready when you need it.

Excellent hospitality

The ancient hotel building and the rooms are beautifully decorated and it has a spectacular view on the Mehrangarh Fort and the city from its rooftop .

The owner wheter was kind and gentle never exitated to ask for payments as soon as I arrived and also while I was taking a shower ...I got a phone call asking me to pay a little extra the day before the check out . They asked for an extra fee for card payments but they said soon after to go at an ATM to pay cash . Plus they asked me money as well for a late check out that I had asked which I didn't accept . The hotel was almost empty so would have been possible to give me a couple of hours more . The room was small and the bathroom almost unaxecible, and I was alone in a double room .

We really enjoy our stay at The Thikana Heritage. From the very first moments the owners and Staff were very helpful. The building is a historic building, very beautuful and well maintained. There is a terrace on the rooftop with the view on the fort and the blue city. The location is inside the old city, very close to most of the attrations. I really recommend it, as it was one of the best hotel experience that we had! Thank you:)
