1550 Residenza d’Epoca

This is an exceptional abode, not for the faint hearted if you have luggage to carry but the climb to the top is worth it to sleep amongst the rooftops of Siena. We saw a lightning storm in the distance and woke to a pink sunrise and swifts feeding and the sound of church bells. A delightful breakfast served on vintage china on a tray in the room made for a very relaxing start to the day. Big comfy bed dressed with antique linen covers and the simple but tasteful styling, all in white, made it a peaceful haven. Francesca was a welcoming and very helpful host, giving us an earlier breakfast and helping us to get a taxi.

The stairs, it's a long climb, but then you don't come to Italy without expecting it if you want a view. Don't let it put you off- it's worth it!

Nice big room! Breakfast was made by the order and delivered in your room at the desired time. Very nice. Location was great, few blocks from Duomo.

The room is on the second floor and there is no lift. Can be a challenge with luggage. In the room the TV is really small, but then again - who watches TV on holidays :-)

The central location with easy access to the Duomo, the central square and the many osteria’s in the neighbourhood. It was spotless, full of charm, the room itself was very large. Just picture perfect in such an old city. Staff: easy to communicate with.

Incredible panoramic view of the city with an exceptionally comfortable bed; I woke up this morning and simply didn’t want to get out. Cosy, practical room with tea station, little fridge and desk. Love the clean, contemporary aesthetic. Highlight was listening to the bell towers chime each hour whilst we drank wine with the window open - bliss!

Bench seat, although gorgeous, was a little wobbly. It would have been lovely to have had a cosy chair to have stretched out on with such a breathtaking view - but this certainly didn’t detract from our stay and we we would 100% stay again.

Beautiful room. The lady who ran it was sweet and helpful, but absolutely not intrusive. She made a fantastic breakfast for us everyday

Nothing everything perfect

We absolutely loved our room! the view that we woke up to everyday with breakfast delivered was beautiful. The location was a little up the road but nothing to complain about, we walking into the town everyday and was easy to find everything. The beds were comfy and the room was very spacious.

there are 61 steps nothing to complain about, we knew about it and i think made it just better carrying our suitcases haha
