Great host. Large, clean and comfortable apartment. Near to the center of Cantania.

Few too many stairs for heavy luggage, which was our fault :-).

The communication was excellent. All questions answered promptly with solutions. Our hostess was very flexible to our requirements meeting us early for checkin even though we only expected leave luggage. The apartment is beautiful older works charm! Loved it! However some will groan at the number of stairs to reach it but it is absolutely worth it! The view from terrace amazing and well set out to enjoy view . Lots lovely colourful plants surround. Lovely full kitchen if you so inclined ! But importantly plentiful supply of breakfast stuff milk yoghurts water eggs etc provided! You really get to feel at home! Not to mention plenty towels and second restroom upstairs. Whilst bedroom might feel confined for some we enjoyed the mezzanine room and it’s quirky set up! TV to boot! Location the best! Shirt walk and in the main road leading to piazza and Duomo etc!!Also the airport bus stops on corner! 50 metres to apartment . Very handy and pay onboard 4E each! Lots of great suggestions for places to eat and wine bars to try and all marked on a map. Thankyou for such a lovely stay.

Lovely apartment very near the centre of Catania. Great restaurants nearby and also small supermarkets and an amazing bakery. The roof terrace was exceptional with amazing views of the city skyline and Etna. Thoroughly recommend.

The bed was extremely hard so we didn't sleep very well,. Think this is personal choice

1. Perfect location. Near the intercity bus station "Piazza Borsellino" and Palazzo Biscari (although it is not easy to visit its inside) several minutes by bus to the central train station, only 5 minutes on foot to the fish market and the Cathedral! 2. Fantastic view. At the top floor there is a large balcony and you can see the Cathedral, Bellini Theatre, the see, and Mt. Etna! 3. The apartment is very, very large and Francesca has so many books in it, from the classical world literature translated into Italian to "The Three Body Problem" in English to tourist guide in German. You will find as if you are living in a small library! 4. The bedroom is on the upper floor of a loft room, so that even in winter it is warm enough when you sleep.

We've been there the second time within two weeks, which says it all. We'lll definitely try to book this appartment again during our next stay in Catania.

The apartment was, comfortable and clean and very homely and well equipped . There was eggs, yoghurts, orange juice and milk in the fridge.

The 'bedroom' is on a mezzanine floor with tricky narrow steps to it. The ceiling was so curved that when I got to the top of the steps and straightened up, my head thumped against the curve and almost knocked me off balance . My husband, who is 6ft 2ins couldnt access the bed area at all. There should be a mention that the apartment is not suitable for tall people or those with mobility issues. My husband slept on the settee and we left after one night because of this. A sofa bed in the lounge would have solved the problem. We were sorry that we couldn't stay and also that we paid for 7nights but only had one night there. Also the metal edge of the stairs were a bit of a hazard.
