It was very comfortable, the bedroom very spacious and was down a side street so lovely and quiet. Barbara was very helpful and provided a good breakfast. She made sure the rooms were spotless and we were happy with our stay.

Nothing

It was well appointed very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The property was a bit out of the way but short walks through Ortigia’s picturesque narrow streets was fine by me! It was quiet. The hostess was marvelous.

We used a flashlight to climb the stairs to our room at night. Lights didn’t go on nor did I find a switch?!…

Very convenient for everything. Huge too and bathroom. Modern but in keeping with building.

Beautifully designed and decorated. Extremely comfortable. Central location, yet quiet. Excellent breakfast.

No view of the sea

The willingness of the owner to personally take us to the parking station and assist us with making payment.

There was no lift and three flights of stairs, however assistance was provided to take our suitcases up to our room.

We did not end up staying at this property as the owner wanted to change a nearly 30% surcharge for checking in at 6pm. She had plenty of chances to warn us about it prior to our arrival, but at the end of a stressful day of lots of driving and very bad traffic it was a shock to be told. She was also very rude and aggressive. Probably partly a communication issue as she spoke no English and we spoke no Italian. I do think it could have been handled better though. Unfortunately I can’t give this property a good review even though what I saw of it looked quite nice.
