Really enjoyable stay with Ben at Alpine Wind. Ben gave such good advice and recommendations regarding the local area/restaurants etc. Great location, fabulous facilities. The onsen bath at the end of each day was a highlight.

The host is very kind and knowledgeable about the area. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. The location is close to the main area of Echoland and close to the bus stop to get to all resorts. The onsen is a fantastic way to finish up the day. We loved our stay at Alpine Wind and will definitely come back.

The breakfast start at 7:30am and the bus to the resorts leaves at 8am, so you need to rush a bit to get there in morning. It would be great if the breakfast would start 15 minutes earlier.

Access to mountains via local bus shuttle service, private onsen, ensuite bathroom.

Hakuba seems to be struggling with increasing demand and not enough supply in relation to tourism services / businesses. Pays to book everything in advance in this town. Not to many retail outlets for gear either, plenty of expensive rentals shops though.
