Sun View Resort Kithalella

We had such a wonderful stay and our host family was so incredibly kind and warm. Everyday we received complimentary tea and sweets. The breakfast was amazing and we also had dinner there! We felt very comfortable and welcomed and our host family was the sweetest! The place is a little bit difficult to reach, but it will be worth it! The mountain view, the kindness of the family and the tranquility of the area - everything was perfect! We can 100% recommend this place!

Great homestay with an even nicer view over Ella and thr Valley. The host's hospitality is unmatched! Delicious breakfast and dinner aswell.

Amazing and welcoming place to stay. Very nice owners. There is a great view from the room. The room is spacious, nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and big. They serve very good meals, both breakfast and dinner.

The road to get to the place is not too good, but it is not their fault.

Without a doubt, this is the best accommodation I have stayed in my entire stay in Sri Lanka. The family that runs the room is wonderful. They are super nice and always wait for you with a smile and a tea pot in the afternoon. The breakfast is very rich and filling. The best thing about the accommodation is that it is literally a small apartment all to yourself, with absolute privacy. It is a large room, about 30m2, with a bathroom and two double beds. Additionally (the best thing about the house) there is a balcony with table, chairs and seats with beautiful views of Ella and the mountains. Also, at the top you can see the sun rise every morning. There is a hair dryer and all kinds of details. I highly recommend it for the peace and tranquility that this place transmits!!

Slightly hard to get there with the tuktuk by yourself (with a taxi it should be fine), but it adds to the experience!

Such a a lovely family that owns this property. They always made sure we had everything we needed and replied quick via message. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the room was amazing. Very relaxing wake up!

It’s not really an issue for the amazing view you get but it is far from the main town and quite a hike up the hill. Downhill is okay and there is some paths through the tea fields that make it quicker.

Cheaper than hostel and better than some hotels For this money one of the best places I’ve ever visited. Extra kind, gentle, ans responsive host

Steep road, host has some problems with English

Just amazing. Wonderful views. Such a peaceful place to be. Also, the family are really nice and their rice and curry is just amazing. You will love to see the sunrise everyday from the bed having Ella Rock and the nature right in front of your eyes. Thank you for your warm, we felt like home.
