Wild View Stay

I’m very thankful for such a friendly and warm stay! The host was super helpful and proposed to drive me around to some of the local must see places, arrange a safari with a pickup right there at the house and take me to the local lake for a refreshing swim. Especially as a single traveller, this was much appreciated and made me feel very welcome. Enjoyed the meals and the separate big balcony for morning yoga and reading time, all the time surrounded with lush palm trees and jungle sounds. Location is nicely outside the village a bit and so closer to nature. Would be happy to visit again!

A very welcoming and accommodating family. The food is fantastic and the place is nicely secluded from the main road but enough close to transport connections. Thushara is a master of transport logistics who goes out of his way to help you. One of the best places I stayed in Sri Lanka!

Booked to stay with Thushara and his family once more as a stop over on route to Colombo. Welcomed once again like family into their home stay! Had a great night here. We even got to help prepare some dinner with the family and eat alongside them! Will definitely book with them again when we're next in Sri Lanka!

The Wild View Stay is really true to it‘s name. The beautiful garden is located in the middle of the jungle. You can watch all the local flora & fauna while eating delicious homestyle sri lankan meals. The host and the whole family is just incredibly nice! They really took care of us in a heart warming way! The room is simple but sufficient. Here and there are a few spots that need renovating but we really didn‘t mind. Our host provided us with all the information, transportation and help we could ever wish for. All the best for this wonderful family!

Super nice host family and great Sri Lankan dinner!

The owners were so helpful and were able to sort safari and transport for us at a cheaper price than we could have managed on our own. We ate dinner one night which was lovely. And there was plenary of breakfast. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone in the area.

The bedrooms could do with a lick of paint otherwise all lovely

Thushara, Menuka, Gangu and Pawani opened the doors of their beautiful home to us. They are the most wonderful and hospitable hosts who became like a second family. While staying here they all made sure we were completely looked after from organising day trips, to long walks in the local villages, visits to their local temple and even introducing us to their neighbours. We have felt right at home. The grounds of their home is like a miniature jungle with a plethora of local wildlife and the occasional nightly visit from wild elephants. An absolute feast for the eyes. The breakfast is good, but the dinner option is even better. This family really knows how to cook. Every meal has been varied and delicious. We would highly recommend staying here!!
