Coastal Villa Mirissa

This was my second booking with Coastal Villa, and I'm pleased to say that this place was very good and exceeded my expectations once again. The room was large, clean, and quiet. I will not hesitate to recommend this place to any of my friends for their stay. The welcome from the staff was excellent, showcasing unbelievable hospitality.

We initially didn’t include our breakfast, but we opted to have the breakfast at the last minute. They kindly accepted our order for the breakfast and prepared them nicely and tasty. We really enjoyed their hospitality and service within a shorter time. The location was very convenient for our planned activities and staff was very kind to listen to our requests and fulfill asap they can

We did not have any issues or problems, as our stay was quite enjoyable and safe… Their service is at a higher level and location is value for money…

Best accomodation we had in Sri Lanka. Spacious, clean, loads of storage, comfy large bed & pillows, delicious breakfast served on our patio in the garden. Quiet location away from the busy & noisy main road. Bit of a walk to the restaurants & beach but we liked that. Free tuk tuk to main road every day. Helpful & friendly staff.

Definitely it is highly recommended. It was a super relaxing hotel close to nature. The location is very calm and quiet and it is bit away from the busy streets of the city, yet around 10 minutes walk to the beautiful Mirissa beach. Hotel provides one time a day complimentary tuk-tuk service to the main road, which is definitely a plus. We also had a walk to the beach from the hotel, was truly a nice experience passing through local neighborhood. Room was very clean and had all amenities including excellent AC and ceiling fan. Hot water supply was very good, though we didn't use that much as the weather here was hot. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. They served excellent breakfast with bread, jam, butter, omelette and with some local food item that was very tasty. Fruit plate was nicely presented. In the morning we saw some beautiful birds, squirrels, monkeys in the hotel garden and on nearby trees. If you love nature and love a relaxing stay, this is the ideal place for you. We would definitely come back here for a longer vacation.

Overall, no major complaints. The staff member was helpful, breakfast was quite good, and the place is quiet and peaceful. The beach is not too far away. The hotel facilities are slightly outdated and could benefit from a refresh or light renovation. Many guests mention the issue with flies, especially on the terrace during breakfast — probably difficult to avoid, but definitely annoying.

We had a lovely, short, stay at Coastal Villa Mirissa, Thushara, the homekeeper, took great care of us throughout the stay. Daily one time shuttle by tuc tuc to main road provided by host. Communication with the landlord over WhatsApp was flawless. If you like to stay in a place that is quiet and peaceful, then I recommend staying at Coastal Villa Mirissa.
