Coastal Villa Mirissa

A saptea noastra cazare din cele 24 de zile de Sri Lanka din decembrie 2025 - ianuarie 20256 s-a dovedit a fi o proprietate foarte cocheta, foarte curata si foarte corecta. Curtea e foarte frumoasa si, chiar daca pare putin izolata, este, de fapt, la o distanta de 10-15 minute de mers pe jos de plaja. Si oricum plimbarea de care ne-am bucurat de multe ori iti arata locuri si oameni. Am avut aici tot ce ne trebuia pentru a sta cateva zile. Angajatii sunt foarte draguti si saritori. Am sarbatorit Revelionul pe plaja din Mirissa. Localitatea e vie, plina de turisti din toata lumea. În Mirissa am descoperit, in sfarsit, si locuri in care sa mancam foarte apropiat de ceea ce avem acasa, fara sa luam foc la fiecare inghititura. Urmatoarea noastra cazare a fost la Bentota, un loc superb, cu o plaja apropiata de ceea ce am intalnit in insulele Gili din Indonezia. Acolo ne-am oprit la Welcome Family Guest House.

Great calm location within comfortable walking distance to the beach (12 mins). Quiet area. Nice beds, outside sitting area. Receptionist always there to help.

As everywhere, prepare for mosquitos outside:)

Bardzo miły i pomocny gospodarz. Okolica cicha i spokojna. Oferują darmowego tuk tuka do centrum. Dobre śniadania. Nasz pokój był dostępny dla nas kilka godzin wcześniej.

Brakowało nam jedynie sejfu w pokoju.

Tutto! Camera molto grande, posizione top a 10 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia in una via super tranquilla. Bellissimo giardino all'esterno. Proprietario molto gentile!

Ďalej od rušnej časti - bol kľud a cítili sme sa príjemne. Posteľ pohodlná. Čisto. Majitel velmi priateľský a nápomocný.

Vzhľadom na odľahlejšiu časť bolo potrebné riešiť odvoz na pláž objednanim tuk-tuku, ktorý nebol vzdy k dispozícii. Mali sme pokazenú rýchlovarnú kanvicu na izbe ale vymenili. Máme malé dieťa tak to bolo pre nás potrebné. Na izbe bol k dispozícii čaj, ale chýbala káva. Neupratovali denne (aspoň vysypať kôš, doplniť vodu a vymeniť uteráky) ani nedoplnili pitnú vodu a toaletný papier počas 4 dní. O upratannie sme museli požiadať ale vyhoveli nám. V sprche bol extrémne slabý prúd vody, sotva sme sa dokázali umyť.

We stayed only one night for us to do the whale watching the next day as we had a short stay in Sri Lanka. The guesthouse itself was nice and cozy. Located in a quiet area but it was a bit afar from the main road. About 10-15 minutes' walk. It is fine during the day to walk but we are not sure about at night given there are loose dogs and no streetlight. However, the caretaker (sorry I cannot remember his name, but I know there was a Saru in his name) welcomed us with a nice welcome juice and had a swift check-in. He helped us in all the ways possible and always attentive. The property has a nice, green and clean space in front of the rooms and a boundary wall that went all around, hence we felt safe and cozy despite the mosquitoes. In the rooms they had mosquito net and also mosquito repellent (with lemongrass fragrance) was already lit in our room when we arrived. So, we had mosquitoes only when outside the room during the evening. The bed was big enough and comfortable for two adults and an eight-year-old. We had a great stay and would have stayed more days if we could. Thank you, Coastal Villa! :-)

There is not much except maybe a proposal to have more clothing or towel racks or hooks in the bathroom as this was lacking when in the bathroom. Like we did not have enough space to hang our clothes or towels. Beside that all good for us.

Die Lage ist super, man kann zu Fuß zur Hauptstraße gehen und zum Strand. Wir hatten aber einen Roller zur Verfügung. Es ist ruhig.

Man war nicht so flexiblel mit der Uhrzeit vom Frühstück. Hier würde ich auch nicht mehr mit Frühstück buchen, da es genug Restaurants gibt, wo man frühstücken gehen kann.

Super fijne accommodatie in een rustig stukje van Mirissa en toch vlakbij de hoofdstraat en de zee. Je zit in het groen (we zagen zelfs een aapje met haar baby in de boom bij de kamer) en toch is de kamer zelf super proper en vrij van insecten. Lieve flexibele mensen ook!
