Incredible views and property is well equipped and decorated.

The host was a nightmare. He offered to give us a Tuk Tuk rides to the city but 2 minutes into the drive we realised he was very drunk/high and had a bottle of spirits in the back seat. The drive is already a dangerous one down a steep hill. He put us both in unnecessary danger and made us very uncomfortable when it would have been easy to call us another driver. Have seen similar experiences shared after I checked.

A magical place, amazingly designed with a crazy view and a great breakfast!

This accommodation is really something very special and was an absolute stroke of luck. We loved every second here and wish we could have stayed longer. Sanjee and his sister are very special and warm people. Sanjee has driven us with his TukTuk to excursion destinations in the area and has organized a super nice driver for us for the onward journey to the south at a fair price, who has did a few stopovers at sights on the way. Sanjee's sister whipped up a different local breakfast for us every morning. One of the best we had on our trip. The location is simply fantastic and is ideal for hiking in the area. The view from the balcony - and also directly from the bed - is breathtaking. All in all, the area around Ella is so beautiful and offers many opportunities for excursions and hikes. It is understandable why Ella has grown so much. At first we weren't sure, if we really wanted to stay in Ella, but here you can easily escape the hustle and bustle of Ella Town and if that's exactly what you want, you can be on the main street of Ella in about 10 minutes via the train tracks. But also in the other direction, right next to the train tracks, there are a few small family restaurants just a few minutes away, where you get offered very good dishes. We really hope that we can come back sometimes and see more of this incredible area. Thank you for everything Sanjee.

There is nothing to mentioned but to know a few important things: To get there by car is really only recommended for small vehicles and experienced drivers. It’s better to take a pick up by TukTuk on the main street. And don't forget, you're in the middle of nature here, with small and big wildlife. Small snails in the bathroom or geckos in the room for example are normal and part of this special place. If you have a problem with this, you are not in the right place.

We had read previous reviews where the owner had taken guests into town / around the local area in his tuk tuk. We arrived in the afternoon, and asked if we could be taken to town in the evening when he offered the use of the tuk tuk. However, he refused to take us there and told us we could walk (not an issue in itself, but just odd!). This continued the next morning, where we asked about getting a lift with our bags to our next accommodation and he said he would sort it. We assumed this would be complimentary (as he offered free use of his tuk tuk) but we were charged double the standard price of a tuk tuk ride by the driver he found. It was overall a wonderful experience, but we were slightly let down by the transport hiccups!
