Niwahana Transit City Hotel

This place exceeded our expectations! The room was spacious, super clean and had a huge and very comfortable bed. The room has everything you need, it felt more like a hotel stay than a homestay! The host is incredibly kind and helpful as well. The location is also perfect - very close to the airport and with a good restaurant just across the road.

We stayed the night before our flight home and the room was comfortable, really big, clean and the breakfast was lovely! Everyone was really friendly too - thank you :)

Excellent, smooth experience. The room is nicer and more spacious than it looks on the photos. The host is super kind and attentive, easy to communicate with, and he made me the best breakfast with omelette, rice, pancakes, huge amount of fruits, juice and other local food! He also picked me up and dropped me at the airport. Bottled water is free and he gave me an extra bottle for the travel. So nice. Wifi is strong enough for video calls and screen sharing. Right across the road is a good place to eat and there are 2 ATMs right beside it. The place also has a basic rooftop. I will stay here again next time I need a one night stay near the Colombo airport! :)

I stayed here for one night after my flight to Colombo. They picked me up from the airport quite late and it was a seamless process. The room itself was spacious and very clean. It also was very quiet and private and felt quite relaxing. I felt very safe here as a solo traveller. Would definitely stay here again.

Indika is a fantastic host. His hotel was the most perfect place to spend the last day in Sri Lanka. I have arrived there tired and very hot- this place made me relax straight away. Indika offered me a coconut and help to organise a fantastic trip to Negombo. His hotel has a location (Indika can organise taxi to airport), very clean, better equipped then 5 star hotels (water, tea, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush). It is a cash only. However, it is not a problem as ATM is nearby His breakfast was the best I had in Sri Lanka. It was heavenly - omelette, roti, passion fruit smoothie, large plate of fruit, pancakes, sambal. Simply the best! Indika hotel is where you feel at home.

Stayed too short

Clean comfortable room located very close to airport. Bed was firm but still comfortable. The owner was so lovely. He picked us up from the airport which made things easy (additional charge). He also made us breakfast in the morning for an additional charge and it was delicious and large serving. He also understood my food allergy so that was amazing. Would highly recommend this place. Looked exactly like the photos.

Can't fault it.

Very clean and spacious. AC and hot water. Comfortable bed. Strong WiFi. I got pretty sick the night I stayed and the owner went to the pharmacy to get me medication. They were so kind! They even brought me a breakfast of dry toast, bananas and lemon juice. I highly recommend this stay near the airport.

Indika is absolutely amazing. I am solo travelling and never been to Sri Lanka. After arriving in the airport he had gone above and beyond for me. He picked me up, had made an amazing big breakfast, tea and coffee, fresh coconut, drove me to the ATM and organized a taxi and negotiated a good price for me. I can not recommend his place enough if you need a transit hotel! So safe, So accommodating and so comfortable!

Great place to stay near the airport. The rooms are very comfy, spacious, clean and have everything you need! The breakfast is unreal. Very good stay and would definitely stay again!
