Picton House B&B and Motel

Arrived very late off Ferry. Was warmly welcomed by hosts.

Proximity to town centre

Offered a a very tiny cramped room for 2 nights when more spacious rooms were available, not good value for money ie. $360... outdated, staff were impolite & disrespectful. Breakfast was minimal, situated on the main & noisy road Internet was not accessible from my room....a very dissapointed stay!

Extremely rude woman at reception. The desk was unmanned with a bell that said ring. I pressed it once giving one ding. No one answered or appeared. After a few minutes I gave it one more ding but still nothing. Eventually I thought that maybe the person was in a noisy environment and couldn’t hear it so I pressed it 3 times. Again no one answered and as I was about to give up and sit down a woman appeared. Instead of apologising she went into a rant about how not to press the bell and as I tried to speak she carried on talking over me. Definitely the wrong person for the job. The whole place is very tired smelling musty. The bathroom was/is very poor with one of the worst showers I’ve ever come across. Beware the shower is not fitted with mixer tap and possibly not a thermostat to stop you getting scolded.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein. Das Bad kaum größer als ein Kleiderschrank. Das Frühstück war sehr bescheiden. Tost, Butter und Marmelade .
