Tempest on Wanaka

Great Bed & Breakfast with great host! We enjoyed having conversation with the host. The room was amazingly cozy and comfortable. Walkable if you enjoy walking to town.

We loved the size of our room and it was very comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful along with a great breakfast.

Star rating: 3/5 Review: I stayed at Tempest in Wanaka. Check-in was smooth and payment on arrival was convenient. The property offers individual parking, which was very handy. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The room was spacious and well appointed with most amenities provided. Tea, water and cookies were available, and breakfast was included. Breakfast featured fresh croissants, homemade breads with marmalades, and granola with milk and yoghurt — all tasty and satisfying.

On the downside, the room’s small 1-ton heater/AC struggled to heat/cool the space effectively, and the bed was a bit too soft for my preference. Overall a pleasant stay and good value for a 3-star accommodation.

Beautiful accommodation and fantastic hosts who were knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful. The attention to detail with the homemade breakfast items and super equiped large rooms were great. 100% recommended

Uns hat das schön eingerichtete Zimmer mit dem großen Bad sehr gefallen. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Lage von „The Tempest“ ist prima. Ruhig und doch zentral.
