Hotel Birds View

Pleasant stay, you can wake up with the peacocks. Very friendly people, good breakfast and good food. Lot's of birds in the garden, two lakes are very close ideal to watch several birds.

As has been stated by many people already, the family/brothers that run this guesthouse are very friendly and accommodating. They really want to make you feel as comfortable as possible. And they do! All credits to them. Although for us it was initially not clear what we could book regarding safaris (maybe because of the language barrier), we decided to go for it and the guides they booked were really good and doing their best to make the safari a nice one.

Visitors should realize that it is a no frills hotel. Our room was big and the beds were comfortable, but there are no extras. Basic but functioning.

The location of this hotel is amazing. It overlooks the lake which is full of wildlife and has many beautiful birds to look at. It is also within walking distance of the Bat Tree which is a spectacular sight. I would recommend eschewing staying in Tissa town to stay here as it is much more authentic and peaceful. The owner of the hotel is also a lovely man who went out of his way to help my partner when he rolled his ankle, even providing him with a balm for which we were very grateful. His cooking is also delicious and he welcomed us back each day with a juice. We would stay again.

Host is such a wonderful, kind, helpful and pleasant man! He took care about our takeaway breakfast on safari, organized everything in the best possible way! Besides location between 2 lakes is beautiful. Great spot for people interested in birding, you can see a lot of species around! you can enjoy sunsets and beautiful view!

Quite place next to the lake, perfect for water bird watching. In good distance to national parks. Refreshing "coconut" welcome drink on arrival. Tasty breakfast with fresh fruit. Friendly staff which arranged taxi to our next destination..

Host was great, very peaceful and serene, little bit out of town but can get a tuk tuk

The staff were very attentive and offered a welcome drink when we arrived, and one more free drink after a safari. We asked about coffee in the morning and they served coffee at 4:30 for free. There are kind and contact dogs in the territory of the hotel. The territory is beautiful and you can see a big lake right next to the entrance to the hotel territory. In our room everything was clean and we didn't hear any noise all night.

The property is located beside a beautiful lake with much bird life all around. The staff were excellent and we were overfed for breakfast. Easy Tuk Tuk ride into nearby town. Would come again.
