Era Holiday House

Our 2 hosts were so welcoming and friendly! The location was amazing, being right next to the beach. Rooms came with amazing mosquito nets, hairdryers and the traditional breakfasts were simply incredible.

We loved everything about this homestay, especially the owners. They are so kind and friendly and really know how to run a homestay! Our room was outstanding, a large poster bed, big bathroom and it even had a small fridge to keep our drinks cold. Hot water and wifi worked great. We also had a balcony but only used that once during bad weather. The breakfast quality and quantity is excellent...so much variety with delicious fresh fruit to finish with. The homestay is just a 5-10 minute walk to the beach but far enough away to not hear the beach party noise. They also helped us with a taxi from Mirissa directly to the airport. If you are lucky enough to find this homestay not sold out I highly recommend you stay here...you won't regret it!

Perfect location 1 minute from the beach very clean room and the family is very caring couldn't ask for more, I highly recommend this place to everyone and breakfast was excellent

We liked being back a little from the busy beach area. Was just a short walk to restaurants and the harbor. Very friendly and clean

Very nice, clean room. Very good air conditioning, hot shower, and WiFi. The hosts went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. The room had a large refrigerator and the bathroom was supplied with high quality soap, shampoo, and toothpaste. The breakfast was outstanding. Different Sri Lanka dishes each of our two mornings. Different dishes and fruits than we have had at other guesthouses. Highly recommended!

Location is just in the center of Mirissa but still you are 100 meter away from mainroad so this place is calm and quiet. Hotel staff SUPER helpfull and friendly. You can have good tips for things to do or places to go. Room is spottless clean. Breakfast varies and it is huge and many different dishes to taste. Super.

We know that Sri Lanka has high level hospitality standards, we stayed in 6 different locations during our Sri Lanka trip BUT Nirosha and Era were by far our favourite stay. We don’t give out excellent reviews easily but the hosts at Era Holiday House deserve a 11 out of 10! Everything was just so good, we don’t even know where to start: - clean and well designed rooms with private balcony - amazing bathroom with great water pressure and water temperature as you would like to have it! Free shampoo, soap and even toothpaste, and all of good quality. - Extremely comfortable bed. - excellent Wi-Fi quality and A/C - Breakfast? Where should I start? My Malaysian born husband only likes top quality and he found it here! Nirosha is an amazing cook and food was so plentiful. - the home is in a great location within walking distance to the amazing Mirissa Beach and also to the Main Street where there are more restaurants, supermarkets and all kinds of other shops. - the hosts were extremely helpful with arranging our taxi to Negombo at a great price with a lovely driver. But at the end, it was all about Nirosha, Era and his brother. My husband said he would come back to Sri Lanka just to see them again. This place is a national treasure! Anja and Noor

The host are exceptionally great, from the moment I did booked the room we already started communicating via WhatsApp so they arranged transfer from the airport to their accommodation and from their accommodation to Safari tour and Ella. They also gave us great recommendations for massage and restaurants. The breakfast is the best thing, many options, fresh and super delicious and yes it’s a huge breakfast we almost never been able to finish it all. They also can drive you with their tuktuk for a good price to the nearest towns or beaches. Don’t leave anything on the balcony, the monkeys are stilling 😂 Overall an amazing stay and amazing hosts Thank you! 🙏
