Era Holiday House

A gem of a place! We were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality from the moment we arrived for our 6 night stay. The delicious and large breakfasts on the deck were the best in Sri Lanka - everything home made. Close to the beach and restaurants and a very quiet neighborhood. Kind and helpful hosts . We highly recommend Eea Holiday House.

Very nice location close to the beach and on a quiet street. Incredibly nice and helpful hosts. Generous breakfasts with a variety of traditional Sri Lankan foods. Very clean. Had everything we needed.

Everything was good

We stayed at Era Holiday House for six nights after having travelled Sri Lanka for almost three weeks. The home stay is located in a quiet local neighborhood while being just a 3 mins walk from the beach and the main road with cafes and restaurants. The rooms are spotless and spacious while offering everything you need. Our room was even cleansed again + bed sheets and towels changed halfway through our stay. Nirosha and Erantha are the most affectionate and generous hosts. They provide an incredibly rich breakfast which offers enough food for the whole day. On our last morning, they asked us to put together all of our favorite pieces and prepared it according to our wishes. Erantha arranged the breakfast table with such perfection, it was a true inspiration. Nirosha also organized our transport to Colombo airport by taxi. It was such a pleasure to stay at Era Holiday House. We could not have wished for a better ending of our vacation. Thank you so much!! :)

We were traveling all around Sri Lanka, and this was definitely the best accommodation. The owner is the kindest person we met on the island, she really tries to make you feel comfortable. The room and bathroom are super clean and well maintained, we had everything we needed. The breakfast is huge and extra delicious, with different varieties and fresh ingredients every day - the best Sri Lankan breakfast we had. At the end of our stay, his husband drove us to Unawatuna with his tuk tuk for a very good price. Everything was just perfect, 100% recommended. 😊

The reviews are ABSOLUTELY true! This was the best stay during our time in Sri Lanka! The hosts are extremely kind, helpful in every way, and did everything to made sure we would feel comfortable and happy - we really did! Besides the comfortable room, with spacious bathroom and nice air conditioning, the homemade breakfast every morning was just amazing - delicious, fresh, every day something new, and more than enough to go on the whole day. They even made some custom requests which we loved! A big thank you to the family for making our stay so nice! We’d definitely book here again :)

The place is located about 5 min. walk to Mirissa beach. Very clean and big enough room with spacious bathroom and balcony. Lots of very hot water in the bathroom that never ends. Very rich breakfast with local foods, fruits and coffee or tea. Our room was same as it was on the booking.com pictures. These were the kindest hosts we met in Sri Lanka. They made us feel at home. They helped us with everything we needed. Starting from excursions at a good price, to providing us with transportation to the station on the last day. If I visit Mirissa again, I would stay there with pleasure.

This was not a problem for us but it is good to know. There is a small cemetery next to the property fence. The rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator, but hosts will help with luggage.
