Era Holiday House

Nicest hosts, delicious (and huge) breakfasts, clean room. Important for the region: stable and fast wifi, hot water with good stream, power sockets, fridge and kettle were actually working!

Amazing hospitality and breakfast. We could watch the birds every morning while eating. Close to the beach, but in a quiet area. Also the cleanest room we encountered on our whole trip :)

Nice location, nice room on the first floor, a bit dark but comfortable room with large bedroom. The host was very nice and helpful. We were able to get breakfast earlier than usual (8am the first morning and 06:45am the second morning, as we had to leave very early for our next destination). Breakfast is huge! The guesthouse is located close to the center, but actually in a quiet area and at walking distance to the beach.

The first night a dog was barking almost continuously. The host told me it's because of people walking around (at night?) or the full moon... full moon was one week earlier though. Second night was better so I guess the host told the dog owner to keep it inside :D Breakfast times are from 08:30 until 10:30, which is a little late for me as I need to take a lot of medication early morning (with food). Also, breakfast is far too much, I would've liked a lighter breakfast much better! (either Sri Lankan, or European, but not both at the same time).

We loved staying at Era! Such a lovely family who welcome you with open arms and make sure that you have a great stay. They make fresh Sri Lankan breakfast every morning which one of the best we’ve had during our entire trip!! Also a lovely room with everything you need, Incl AC hot water and a fridge which is quite handy. It is just a 3 minute walk to the beach and a 3 minute walk to the Main Street with shops and everything. Would strongly recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you 🙏🏻

This place lives up to the reviews and is the best home stay we stayed in so far in Sri Lanka. Upon arrival the host greeted us with frozen towels to cool down. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom and bed linen. Good air conditioning in the room. Shower was hot! The location is great, a quick walk down to the beach and local restaurants. The breakfast was huge and delicious and the hosts also helped us move our tuk tuk and treated us to cool refreshments upon check out. Honestly the best place we have stayed so far!!

Era Holiday House is amazing! The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the bed is comfortable. The hosts are extremely kind, helpful, and generous. The breakfast is huge and delicious - you can keep the leftovers in the fridge in the room and it is more than enough for lunch as well. The beach and many good restaurants are within a short walk from the accomodation. Highly recommend and would happily stay again!

Very good location, quiet but still close to everything. Nice clean room with balcony. Parking for our TukTuk. Amazing breakfast (it’s a lot but it’s also very good). Very friendly hosts. Great stay.

We did not have a hot shower, but maybe that was temporary.

Excellent host, clean and comfortable room
