Dulmini Homestay

Everything was amazing! The food, the owner, the view. The family that managed the house was really kind, they gave us tea and biscuits, fruits and helped us in every possible way. They make dinner and breakfast, they gave us a lot of food, and it was delicious. The location is in the middle of the mountain, between a forest. We found a lot of different animals, monkeys, big squirrels, birds, only staying on the balcony means watching nature and animals, i really loved that. Wifi is great, the room is so big and you have a full house for yourself, so you can chill outside and have your time without any bothering. The bathroom was also cool and the shower was really hot! Thanks so much, we will come back!

The location, as i said before, is in the middle of the nature, is not a problem but notice that to reach the house you have to pass from a steep climb, because the tuktuk from ella doesn’t arrive in front of the house, but it’s just 10 minutes, useful to digest your food.

The room is really spacious with excellent Wi-Fi! The balcony area is beautiful and peaceful. The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are huge! Such a lovely family — thank you for being so kind and for sharing your home with us.

The host family is very friendly and goes out of their way to assist. Location a bit out of the city but the views are worth it. The room is clean and the shower nice and warm. During my stay I had once dinner and breakfast, the food is amazing a must try! Also they offer laundry service.

This is my best homestay in 2 months travelling in Sri Lanka.The room was so beautiful very big and very clean with nice balcony in the forest you can see also waterfall from there.The family very kindly and helpful they offer me delicious breakfast and homemade dinner.It was for me an amazing experience!Thank you for your hospitality never forget and I am sure will be back

We really enjoyed our stay at Dulmini Homestay and found our time to be one of the highlights of Ella. The location (although steep to get to) offers a fantastic view of the hillside and most mornings the forest was filled with wildlife such as birds and monkeys. The family took good care of us, offering us advice on bus hire, cooking incredible meals for us and even allowed us to rent one of their scooters.

We absolutely loved our time at Dulmini Homestay and wished we could have stayed longer! The whole cottage is private, away from the main house with incredible views of the valley, a giant waterfall in the distance AND train views. It was unlike anything we've experienced before. We highly recommend eating breakfast and dinner here also for incredible meals and hospitality. Perhaps order one plate for two people at dinner as the sizes were so massive!! We would absolutely stay here again if we were ever in the area.

Would love there to be a kettle in the room!

We had a great stay at Dulmini Homestay! The host family is very welcoming and friendly, we got served a lot of delicious Food and tea :) you have your own little apartment with a large terrace, a great view and animals (birds, monkeys, eagles) around you! Recommend to stay here

If you are driving yourself, the road to the apartment is pretty tough

The room is great and clean, the bed is perfect, the balcony with the mountain view is amazing. You can enjoy the outside with the animals in the garden. The family is very nice and available via WhatsApp. Diner and breakfast were very very good

It’s a little bit far from the center but the family rent a scooter (what we did) so it was ok

It was such a pleasure to stay in this amazing place... We've got the best food what we had in Sri Lanka! Owners are very kind and helpful.. They are also offering tuk tuk, scooter and laundry service as well... You can also see all kind of animals from your terrace. Highly recommended! :))
