Dulmini Homestay

The homestay is a really good choice if you want to have a short city break and want to have your home in between nature and calmness. We even saw some monkeys and deers while sitting on the terrace, had a very relaxing time. The family cooked really delicious food for us and gave us a lot of fresh fruits and tea. They are really kind and tried to do to everything to make the stay as pleasant as possible.

As the accommodation is a bit outside of the main city center and the last part of the road to the property is rather steep, we had to drive by Tuktuk a lot.

Delicious breakfast. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Wonderful view on the balcony.

Beautiful view from the balcony, nice, comfortable and clean room and bathroom, delicious food prepared by the owners, fresh fruit from their trees and lovely family that will help you with any extra requests you might have. The bed was also amazingly comfortable.

As far as the accomodation goes, other than a few hangers to hang some clothes would be nice but otherwise no complaints

The views are awesome. They welcomed us late at night and also served a tasty breakfast! The zone is very quiet as it is a little far from city centre

The location is maravellous, located in the heigths of Ella, surrounded by nature and animals (squirrels, macaques, porcupines, birds...), with a very beautiful view of the mountains. It is situated about 25 min walk from the railway tracks on which you can hike to different places (Ella Rock, Nine arches bridge...) and about 30 minutes (walking) from the center of Ella. The hosts are super welcoming and friendly, with great hospitality. The bedroom is large, has its own terrace, and a comfortable bathroom. Everything was very clean. And we can not forget to mention the cooking which is absolutely delicious and plentiful, with fruits from the garden. Best meals we've had in Sri Lanka so far. It is a must to taste the cuisine! 😋 We loved our stay at Dulmini's home and we highly recommend it 🌞 thank you for everything!

Nothing

The detached cottage has a nice and spacious bedroom, a large bathroom and a covered terrace with a beautiful view, double bed (not for people over 1.85) with a very comfortable mattress and good mosquito net, hot water. Situated on a wooded hillside surrounded by tea plants, palm trees and other trees, totally quiet, no neighbours only squirrels, many different birds and fireflies. There is a nice walk (40 min) down to the village, maybe take a tuktuk back in the evening (2 - 3 Dollars). The family is very nice (lives nearby) and would be happy to prepare breakfast and dinner which we did not make use of. Good wifi, really good value for money.

Due to the climate and the extraordinary long rainy period I guess all accommodations here are rather damp, but you can leave the window in the bathroom open for fresh air.

Friendly family. Big appartement. Nice terrace. Beautiful nature. Recommended during the dry season. Hair dryer. Spacy bath room. Store just 300m at the main road. Free tea in the morning. Comfortable bed with net. But too short for Europeans ;)

Good value for money. Extreme humidity in the room. Close gets wet in the room. Ceiling full of mold. Nothing for allergic guests. We were ventilating day and night. No fan. No A/C to dry the room. No storage place. No hangers.
