View from the balcony.

The location is very bad, Beds mattresses very uncomfortable. Breakfast is the same everyday. Car parking terrible.

A cozy b and b on top of a hill with a beautiful view on the ocean combined with a great breakfast. Very friendly owners that are always willing to help! We did enjoy our stay!

Amazing location and a view! Very cosy, small place. Beautiful breakfast spot. The property has private parking. Very nice host with great information.

You live basically in garden so the bugs are part of experience. A small dustpan under the sink to clean the bugs would have been perfect.

"Great location above Camera de Lobos."

We loved the location of Vila Afonso. Our room was large and comfortable and had a fabulous view from the roof deck. The grounds are lovely and pool was refreshing. Breakfast every morning was plentiful.

The room had a musty smell and ceiling in bathroom had mold on it. We had to close the unscreened window in bathroom because the mosquitos were coming in.

"Fantastic location, loved the privacy of the bungalow"

The location was fantastic, short drive to Funchal and also nearby to the VE4 main road that takes you to the other side of the island. Room was spacious, lots of storage, had a beautiful view, and large TV! Shower had good pressure and hand soap/shower gel was provided. Communal areas were large and inviting, breakfast was just enough. Afonso was polite and professional, he also recommended a local restaurant (Viola) which is a uphill walk from the property - good food. Would recommend and return.

The bed had a few over sheets/covers, not sure if they are changed/cleaned per guest. Our room continuously had bugs but as there was no dustpan/sweeper it was impossible to remove them so the room felt dirty after a couple days. A small dustpan under the sink would have been perfect. Bathroom is tired, needs updating. Pool was slightly cold but may be cause we used it on a cold rainy day - if the sun was out it would have been heaven.
