Very spartiate

We were looking for a unique treehouse experience in Sri Lanka and our stay here overdelivered it. The host is a wonderful, honest, and caring small family. Both dinner and breakfast are amazing. Short walk to the main street. Highly recommended.

The location to Sigiriya rock is fantastic, only a 5 minute drive by tuk tuk or scooter and in walking distance, and restaurants and cafes near by! The treehouse is cute, build in between trees and beautiful planting! The family were so sweet and caring and really lovely to be around! The breakfast were amazing and we ate dinner in house two nights because it was so delicious and freshly cooked! Would definitely recommend this!

The room itself was quite tired and didn’t feel to the same standard that we had been staying in for the same price. We understand it’s a treehouse, but the room was full of mosquitoes, we got absolutely destroyed even with a mosquitos net tucked under the mattress. A new lick of paint, some better lighting and furniture and some new mosquito nets would be welcomed!

One of our best stays in Sri Lanka. We enjoyed the hospitality and food. Located in the village surrounded by nature gave us authentic experience .

It’s a nice experience to sleep in the treehouse. The location is very calm since it’s not directly at the street.

The staff was very pushy and tried to convince us to make a safari with them multiple times. They didn’t accept it when we told them we already have a safari booked in a different national park. We really had to stay consistent and it felt uncomfortable after that. They were always watching us and asking what we plan for the day (probably another try to sell as a safari).

This property is tucked away from the main cafes in the town and it has a village-style feel with a few other guest houses next door — which you can hear, and sometimes music from nearby but not at night. A peaceful place with a very friendly family. The dinners are incredible! Breakfast good too and very large. I did the safari with Rohan which cost 21,000 rupees, he took me to see a nearby waterfall on the way and we spent a few hours in the national park watching the elephants, trying to go to quieter spots and staying after other jeeps had moved on. It was an incredible experience and he has a lot of knowledge about them. I thought I was booking a tree house but that was occupied and so I was in a ground-level room, which was a bit disappointing but it’s spacious and clean with a veranda. If you are going specifically for the tree house then check before going that’s what you’re getting! You can walk to nearby cafes and a hotel with a pool. I took a very early tuk tuk to climb Lion’s Rock. If you do this take a torch! I went alone and it was very dark and I had to follow other couples to find the way. You can also take a guide although the guest house has a book on the history of the site.

Can hear some music nearby during the day and other guest houses.

Everything was perfect. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful, and she's an incredible cook. We had breakfast and dinner there, great value for money. The bed is super comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

we had a wonderful stay! The hosts were charming and cooked for us wonderfully. We recommend! I went on safari with the host and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. You can tell that he loves nature and elephants.

It was quite cold at night (the blankets were quite thin) and the temple around the corner starts calling loudly to prayer very early in the morning.
