Sigiriya Free View Tree House & Villa

Simple and clean tree house, comfortabke and spacious and nice balcony! Lovely hosts.

It was all good until we saw the bill for the home made dinner, they charged us 2100 rupees per person for a Sri Lankan dinner which was delicious but ridiculously expensive if you see the prices in the country. We were very disappointed and would never book again to be honest that just a scam.

If you are tall, make sure to go to the tree house. No mosquito net in villa. Little loud people in the night.

We had the villa with AC, excellent for the 4 of us. The family owners are sweet and take care of their guests. Nice breakfast too. Rohan organised a great safari for us, knew exactly where to go and had a lot to tell about the asian elephants in the park.

If anyone comes to Sigiriya: We absolutely recommend to stay at Sigiriya Free View Tree House and Villa. Ronan and his family are incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. They cook wonderful Sri Lankan meals with vegetables and fruits from their own garden! We went on a Safari with Ronan, which was incredible. He is choose the park according to the information, where we could find most elephants. And where there were less people. And it paid out! Many, many elephants and no other car! He knows a lot about the animals, especially about elephants and speaks a very good English! The kids and we are really happy that we found this wonderful place. Ronan: +94 76 926 3408

The family are so lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean with air conditioning if you require it and the breakfasts were delicious. We also did the elephant safari with Rohan which was incredible. We saw over 50 elephants gathered together. Rohan has years of experience as a guide so was able to tell us lots about the elephants. Would recommend this as a good place to stay if you are visiting Sigiriya.

Very nice family, always helpful and smiling. The room was very clean and the place is very quiet, had very good rest. Totally recommend to have dinner with them, she cooks amazingly! and the price is very good.

Breakfast was certainly a highlight! Felt like having a home-cooked meal with such a nice variety of Sri Lankan foods to try! I thought the host family was incredibly kind and they also offer some safari options for the local parks.

Location is a bit outside of the main part of town, so you definitely need a tuk tuk or car to get there if it's dark.

It was a pleasure to stay 3 nights at Rohan and his family. Located in the forest, treehouse surrounded by beautiful nature. The breakfast and dinner prepared by Prasadi was amazing. We felt as family members, our daughter played a lot with their son, Kaviru. The elephant safari arranged by Rohan was unbelievable, a never forgotten experience. The hospitality was absolutely fantastic. Definitely recommended, hope to come back once!

The nicest stay we ever had. We enjoyed everything. Excellent meal, comfortable treehouse, nice garden. Owner and his family are amazing. He provided us special guided safari, not like rhe commercial one, we learnt a lot. Higly recomended, this one is a real gem when you stay in Sigiyria.
