Sigiriya Free View Tree House & Villa

Very friendly host family! Room was good, clean, comfy beds, good aircon. The host offers various things and Rohan does the safari himself. He's done the safari for many years, knows how to avoid the crowds, how to deal with the elephants to make the most out of the safari while being respectful to the animals. Rohan's wife made us delicious dinner and breakfast. Overall very good!

It's a little bit further from the centre of sigiriya than some other places. 15 minute walk to the main crossing at Lion Rock.

What a beautiful location and a beautiful family. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend to anyone thinking about it. Rohan and his family did everything to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. We are so glad we went on an elephant safari - it was one of the most special experiences of our Sri Lankan trip.

Rohan and his family were great hosts offering helpful information and organising tours around the area. All the home cooked food was delicious. The location was great with restaurants and Lion Rock nearby.

The hosts were amazing, a full 11 out of 10, so while the accommodation was good but humble, everything else they did for us was a full 11 out of 10. SO highly recommended from us, nothing was too much trouble, and the local advice was super helpful. Thank you Rohan and Presadi

He had an amazing time with Rohan and his family! I can’t recommend you enough to come here. We tried the elephant safari with him and had and incredible experience. He knows everything about elephants and respect them, also makes all that’s necessary to make your stay unique and superb. His wife’s food it’s the best we had so far in our trip. Do not hesitate to come :)

What a wonderful place out in the green! We had a great time. Did the Safari with Rohan 😘. The food prepared by his wife Pressadi was excellent. We felt like part of the family. Thank you so much for all your help and kindness.

Amazing, lovely family to stay with. Rohan and family were very helpful with organising trips for us and keeping us well fed. Would definitely recommend if staying in Sigiriya.

We stayed in the small house in the back, it’s away from the road and very quiet. In the morning you’re waking up with the sound of birds, feels like the middle of the jungle. The room was sparkling clean, the bathroom has a window so there is no humidity or smell problem. It was walking distance to most restaurants and to the Lion’s rock (about 30min). The hosts go out of their way to accommodate you, woke up 4am to take us to climb Pidurangala for sunrise. We also did the elephant safari with them and it was a really magical experience, would definitely recommend!

The owners were so welcoming and friendly. My friend had caught a stomach bug before he arrived and felt really ill . They were genuinely concerned and did everything they could to help. They also organised an elephant safari for us which was amazing!

No hot water from the shower and the bathroom smelt quite musty but given that the accomodation was in a jungle setting I’m sure that was standard really.
