Guruge villa

Very welcoming owner, cozy place away from the touristy business of the city. A little off the road, but a really nice place to relax, I especially like the entrance to the place which is somewhat of a living plant arch instead of an iron gate.

Location was very nice. The property was beautiful and clean. Host was very nice.

Even with two fans it was still too hot to get a good sleep. And the mosquitos are annoying.

The owner is extremely friendly and is open to give a lot of information, what to do and what to see. But the position is really quiet and I could get fresh bananas from the owner's garden. Wifi very stable and fast

I am really sorry I can't give a higher rate, but the room was really small and there was no place to put bags/backpack etc.

Nice location a bit off the touristy part, yet only 15 min walk to the beach. Really good internet and price.

Very close to the bus and train station, close to a beach. Host is a very lovely and relaxed man who welcomed me with a cold drink when I first arrived and has lots of great local restaurant recommendations. The room was mostly men but everyone staying there was lovely and I felt really comfortable. There is a really nice outside sitting area with a view of the garden.

Maybe a little bit further from the main surfing beach/beach with surfboard rentals but still really close!

Incredibly kind host running a small, cozy, beautiful place. It's so peaceful there, you can relax on the patio the whole day, use the kitchen and sleep in super comfortable beds. Shops, restaurants and the beach are very close by, just the perfect place to calm down and enjoy good company! Thank you for everything! ♡

I’m so glad I stayed at Guruge villa! I felt so great as soon as I arrived. I couldn’t expect a better way to be welcome at the villa. It is really clean, the environment is stunning and facilities really nice! I would definitely come back if I’m in the area! Big thanks for this experience!

Guruge Villa has a very homely atmosphere. It is located around 10 minutes walking distance from the beach, railway station and bus stop. The host was very friendly and was always willing to help. He has a massive garden and showed me all the plants and fruits that are growing there. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets and a ventilator. It is also possible to do laundry at the stay.
