Riad Nelia

Nelia Riad is a wonderful place to stay. The location is ideal for exploring the busy Medina while it is situated in a quite place just outside the busy streets. We felt very welcome and the staff was friendly, speaking very well English and very supportive. The breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace with a nice view on the city and a great place to relax. We loved the interior of Nelia Riad with its colorful decoration and we will definitely come back to this place next time .

Nothing noted for improvement

The hotel is centrally located, and the staff is friendly and helpful with anything requested.

We encountered several issues with this hotel. One of the two guests was bitten by bedbugs in the room. Additionally, we had problems regarding payment. We were informed that paying by card would incur a 3% fee, which we accepted. However, upon receiving the final amount, we noticed an undisclosed fee related to currency conversion from euros to dinars, differing significantly from the daily exchange rate. When we pointed this out, we were told that this rate was fixed and provided by booking.com. Along with some additional charges, they effectively asked for an extra 40-50 euros, which we refused. Moreover, the breakfast provided was very basic—compared to other accommodations we stayed at in Morocco, it was overly simple and inferior. We chose this hotel for our final two days in Morocco expecting a better experience, but unfortunately, things were not as we had hoped.

A haven in the heart of the medina. We got a transfer to the riad from the airport courtesy of the riad. We were met by the lovely staff of the riad to be walked to the riad and it was honestly such an incredible place! We felt so important and well looked after. Incredible!!!

This riad was so beautiful! Clean and airy, it felt like an oasis. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful - big thank you to Mouna, Walid, Youssef, and Mohammed for going above and beyond to make us feel like part of the family. We also did the cooking class which was very fun and informative. And the spa services are great! All in all, a wonderful stay and would absolutely love to stay here again.

The beds were a bit firmer than I prefer, but other than that, no complaints! While they do keep quiet hours, be mindful that sound does travel because of the inner courtyard format. We still slept very well.

The space was a bit small

Super friendly staff and exceptionally well kept. Also in a great location, which gives calm and serenity away from the huddle and bustle of the Medina. A special shoutout to Jaoued, Mohammed, Walid, Mouna and Yousef 😁

The property is in a good location

It happened to run out of electricity during our stay. The staff were not prepared for an occasion like this, nobody communicated and explained what to do or expect during this time. I think as a place of hospitality they should be prepared for occasions like this and always have a plan B

The staff were some of the best we’d ever experienced at a hotel, so incredibly warm and welcoming from the first to last moment. The riad was so quiet and calm, a great antidote to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The riad was also stunning and everything was so clean and presented to such a high standard

Nothing! Only thing would be that the location is a up windy side streets only accessible on foot but we booked a transfer which meant we were met at the car park to take us there so we were fine but if we had arranged our transport we would’ve had a hard time finding the place

My boyfriend and I were finishing up our stay in Morocco and wanted to experience staying in a Riad so we chose this one. Originally we walked to their sister location, where the staff member then walked us back to the correct location. Upon arrival, we were slightly early for check in, so the hotel staff provided us with breakfast while we waited. The breakfast was delicious proper, not buffet style like the hotels. In particular there was this one staff member (I didn't catch her name), but she was extremely helpful in providing us tips and information about Marrakesh that we wish we would have known at the beginning of our Morocco trip. Upon checkout we had leave at 3am due to an early flight time, and another staff member walked with us at night to our pickup point. The room was beautiful, clean, and aesthetic. If we are returning back to Morocco, I would definitely book this Riad again!
