Residence House

We stayed here for only 1 night. Big room , nice bathroom,and everything was very clean. The owner and his wife are very friendly. Really nice coffee and good breakfast with home made yoghurt. I surely recommend this guesthouse.

Booked direct by phone. Stayed in fan room for 2 nights at 300 BT per night. Nice older style guesthouse at end of lane that follows river in the historic quarter. Room on top floor was very clean, comfortable and airy with attached hot water shower bathroom. Small balcony with nice views. Really excellent value. A German-Thai couple run this guesthouse and were friendly and helpful. There is homemade yoghurt and German style bread with good coffee for breakfast. They can arrange onward bookings to islands or Cambodia. The nearby night market is good for evening meals for a cheap price - fresh and yummy. Treat was very relaxing place to break my trip and Residang highly recommended.

Stayed here for 1 night before catch the boat to Ko Kut. We are travellers of 6 and booked the room by phone on our trip from Bangkok to Trat. On the phone they informed us that the hotel will be close at 11pm so we should check in at least at 11pm. Based on our calculation, everything is under control, we will arrive around 11pm but because we took public transport from BKK so we arrived there little bit late. We informed them as soon as we know that we will arrive 30 minutes late and when we are there, the owner's wife was fall a sleep on the couch and we have to wake her up for check in but she doesn't mind and still welcoming us friendly, explain us about hotel information we should know and in the end, show us the room, we got rooms on the top floor. She also help to organizing the boat ticket for us, included pick up and transfer from hotel in Trat to Trat pier and from Ko Kut pier to the accommodation in Ko Kut The room was great for us, clean, big bed (double bed will be enough for 4 people) and comfortable. The bathroom also clean and provide hot water. Everything were OK but in the morning if you get the room in front with balcony, there is a building near by that will has so loud noise between 7am until 8 am. They were sounds like talk and singing using speaker so you can hear it very clear from the room. But the room on the back will have no problem with this sound. The room price is not included breakfast but the breakfast set menu were yummy and has reasonable price... Really recommended place to stay and don't forget to inform them if we will check in late...

Residang Guest House is in a great central location in a quiet street across the road from Pier 112. The Thai woman who work there were very friendly & helpful. The older German man who I suspect was the owner wasn't and didn't even acknowledge me. Nevertheless the rooms are large and clean, air con good and 'quiet', overall I'd stay again and recommend it.

My boyfriend and I stayed 1 night here. The owners were lovely, very helpful and wear a warm smile. I think that this makes all the difference in a hotel. The room was great value, 600 baht for air conditioning, a fridge and all the rest. Not a 5 star hotel but for anyone passing through this place is comfortable and in short walking distance from the night/day markets. Would stay again :)
