Great breakfast. Plenty of fresh bread, jams, cheeses, meats and coffee. It was more than enough for two people. The restaurant and the hotel are rustic but perfect for the island setting.We had a marvelous overnight stay at Berlenga B & B for our anniversary. The Island is such a special place that we recommend spending the night if you have chance. You will want the time to relax and explore the awesome beauty surrounding you. Staying in this sweet Air B & B allowed us to enjoy hiking the trails, swimming, and taking a boat ride to explore the caves. We could just chill outside of our room on lounge chairs. Everything you want is conveniently located because the Air B & B is at the level below the restaurant and run by the same folks who were warm, friendly and made sure we had a great visit. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and enjoyed every meal as it was freshly prepared with ample portions. The drinks were also very good! We had everything we needed for a very special anniversary that we will always remember.

I think it was all very nice. The lounge chairs probably need to be wiped between guests because they have a lot of birds there and they sit on the chairs when not used.

The rooms, while simple as you'd expect on a nature reserve, are really clean and comfortable. Open the door and the natural beauty of the inlet, the sea, cliffs and beach are right there in front of you. The hike over the island is worthwhile without being too difficult - wife had a broken foot and enjoyed it. Now, dinner... That was amazing. Eric Ripert would love this. The chef is doing just brilliant things here with attention to detail and skill that's uncommon. He keeps it simple enough for the ingredients to express themselves but prepares them beautifully. And you are going to see different fish than just what is typical in the resorts. The service is great and there's a cool conviviality to being the only six tables of people left on the island for the evening. We took two children including a teenager and they both loved the whole experience, wishing we stayed an extra couple of nights and brought snorkel gear.

unbelievable place, few meters from the harbor, beach, fort and lighthouse. most people who travel to Berlenga island do 2 mistakes: 1: they don’t stay overnight 2: they don’t try any of unbelievable meals they serve. mussels, aged fish, fresh fish. everything was great. the best thing is when the last ship leave and you stay with the stuff there, have the island only for you and have the best food from the chief

We loved our stay at Berlengas. It is such a gorgeous quiet part of the world with incredible views from the room, lovely walks and amazing hospitality from Susana and her family. When we stayed we felt like we had the island to ourselves (particularly when the day trip boats left) and really got to enjoy the quiet splendour of the island. Also an amazing dinner of freshly caught dory fish cooked to perfection, yum sides, melt in your mouth prawns and gorgeous wines. Would highly recommend staying here!

Everything! We were very exited about this trip and the Berlengas are beautiful! Susanna, Felipe and their daughter were beyond amazing! The food was great too! The apartment has everything you need and it was clean. The view is priceless and we really hope to visit again soon, but more longer!

Nothing! We just wished we had made proper arrangements to stay longer. 2 nights or even 3! We will be back 😃

Such a privilege to sit back and relax on the verandah, looking at the sun setting over the ocean when the last ferry had left. It then feels as though you have this piece of paradise all for yourself! Superb fish dish with some good Portugese wine - what more do your need?
