"Comfortable and relaxing first night in NZ in a peaceful and characterful home.."

Everything! Tony has made his home a labour of love from the house itself to its antique eclectic furnishing and decor. Every object has a story and Tony is an enchanting and amusing raconteur. Very comfortable bed, full English breakfast was beautifully cooked and Tony couldn’t do enough for us or his other guests. We’d recommend Pheasant Lodge as a perfect stay between Auckland and the North when travelling up country.

We liked it all.

Our host, Tony, was charming, engaging and hugely entertaining. He insisted that we treat his home as our home. He had a great sense of humour and put us at our ease. We genuinely enjoyed his company and really appreciate his approach to hosting.

Booking. Com having such a useless website, I used their site in an attempt to communicate with the provider, and he never recieved the message. Major embarassoment for me when he called me to ask why we hadnt arrived. If you are reading this, I suggest you communicate directly with the provider and not use booking. Com
